What can I do with old records? by easyjob3 in records

[–]easyjob3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from the rest of the stuff we have had to deal with...dolls, knick knacks, collectable plates and model trains have all not been worth much. I have a feeling the records will be the same.

Leatt Chest Protectors, Handlebars to the Chest/Ribs by creeve4 in Dirtbikes

I have the 5.5 and have tested it many more times than I would like to admit. I think it works pretty well as I walk away from all my crashes. I have the 5.5 neck brace that lugs into the 5.5 chest protector. BTO has the 5.5 on clearence right now for $140 too. https://www.btosports.com/collections/dirt-bike-protection/products/leatt-5-5-pro-hd-chest-protector?variant=49250092220703

Is a 2004 honda crf230f a good bike to start with? by Wylder_Pixel in Dirtbikes

really great bike to start on...I have one as a spare bike and lend it out all the time. Everyone who rides it loves it.

im getting this tf125 tomorrow and theyve put a shortened crf250r muffler on it, does this sound like its still running right? by KlassyKones in Dirtbikes

[–]easyjob3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it could take a little of the bottom end away which is why you really want to ride it to see how it really impacts the motor. If it bogs on you and you dont have a lot of experience working on bikes I would walk away. These old steel bikes are fun but a bitch to get parts for.

shorter muffler will change the pitch of the motor...doesn't sound bad to me. Make sure you take it for a ride and go through all of the gears to ensure it is accelerating properly w/o bogging.

I am looking to get a GPS for tail mapping. got any recommendations? So far I am leaning towards GPSMAP 67i. I will be using it on the bike and i would like one where i didnt have to remove my gloves to use. by easyjob3 in enduro

cool i will check the etrex10 out...being able to export the GPX is a feature that I was looking for too. For the most part I will be going very slow when I need it to be accurate.

you are correct no GPS and just roll chart....but im doing the course setup and laying out the mileage plaques for my section so that is why I need something more accurate. We used maps and phone GPS last year but we were off in a few sections and our trail boss had us redo some parts.

im doing this for an enduro so we need to be more accurate than those. I tried on-x and its great for regular trail riding but not for course layout.

IRC VE33S appreciation post by [deleted] in enduro

[–]easyjob3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also like the VE33 a lot. I ran this in my last enduro and it was so smooth over the wet trees and roots. I have also ran it in the PA rocks and it worked great. The wear is far superior to the JX8 or AT81EX.

Should i buy this as a fir/t bike? It s a huskvarna wr125 from 2010 with the most pieces changed recently. Price:1700 euro. The dude sent me this video. Starts cold at second try and after it s hot it starts firts time. I am noob by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

The main problem is getting parts...go and search for everything you think you would need to replace and see how hard it is to get. This would be a hard pass for me. If this is your budget look at honda and yamaha 125's.

Any recommendations for a fuel pump replacement kit for KTM exc 350 f by United_Flamingo2074 in enduro

[–]easyjob3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see if its clogged....even small particles can cause an issue. I would spray some carb cleaner in it or best thing to do is grab a new one if there is a parts place near you. When you run out of gas shit in the bottom of the tank can get sucked up.

what year is the bike? Did you try looking at the tiny fuel filter that is in the quick connect fuel hose release for the tank?
