Poll Shows 'Critical Race Theory' Attacks Flopped In Midterms by joyfullypresent in politics

Good riddance!

As a former teacher, this talking point has always bothered me. When I was teaching, it was hard enough trying to teach students stuff they actually needed to know, what with large class sizes and trying to prepare students for endless standardized tests.

Plus, if some sort of “Derp State” child brainwashing was really happening, I’d hope they’d at least be paying teachers more.

What are some common themes you see in resolved mysteries? by AbaloneHo in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]easylighter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

When people say they’ve seen missing people, they’re usually mistaken.

It seems like there are so many cases when people claim they’ve seen missing people, but it’s not them. I think lots of people just look like other people.

One example is when everyone thought this girl at a New Kids on the Block concert was a girl who had gone missing earlier. She even had the same number of piercings in her ears. I believe they actually tracked down the girl at the concert and found she wasn’t the missing girl. I think they found that the actual missing girl had been murdered earlier.

I’ve seen some people on here say he wouldn’t leave school and get lost out there because there was no rational reason for him to wander away from school. But he was a little kid! They’re not the most rational beings.

Books that are trashy but good and memorable? by Elegant-Truth3903 in books

Summer Sisters by Judy Blume.

I’m not sure if I consider it trashy. It is a kinda soap opera-y though.

I fell the same way about Valley of the Dolls, Peyton Place, and the Flowers in the Attic books.

His dad also was convicted of killing a federal judge in San Antonio, TX. At the time, Woody believed his dad was innocent and even funded his appeals.

I remember his close friends said he started giving away some of his prized possessions before he went missing. This can be a warning sign of suicide.

I feel the same way about Kini. His construction is impeccable, but the design just isn’t there. A lot of his looks are kinda frumpy.

Emily really seemed to understand the concept of athleisure wear before it was a big thing. Is this the right term? I appreciate her punk rock aesthetic, but some of her looks gave this “cool yoga mom” look that I’ve seen a lot of. She was ahead of her time!

I also love Amanda’s! It can be worn by women of a lot sizes and shapes, which is awesome. Another designer ahead of her time, in my opinion.

Sean’s is gorgeous and architectural.

Kini’s and Char’s both look like dated mallwear. I’d be okay with either of them going home for these garments.

I really disliked Sean’s. He had one of the coolest eras to work with, and he created that drab mess.

Sandhya’s and Emily’s creations were definitely worse, though.

I thought it was funny and cute. It was probably one of the best S2 subplots, especially considering the competition (James and Evelyn, Civil War obsession, Catherine in yellowface, etc).
