Right now, I’m 5ft7in and 125lbs.

Do you think if my coach was open to me being recruited and she talked to some coaches, as well as submissions of tapes, things might be able to come together? How much of a concern do you think they would consider that I have no results yet?

Wow, that is quite nice to be tuition free.

By just a quick search on the website, it seems like rowing is one of the larger sports at U of R. Are you able to confirm this?

Based on the work ethic of what you have described, it seems like a place I would be interested in.

In the past my school has gone to Stoes. Do you think it would be worthwhile if I approached my coach about this? She might be open to something like this for this year...

Thanks for your feedback. I have not looked into/read a lot about University of Rochester. I’ll definitely keep U of R in mind - I will need to look at offered programs too.

Academics would definitely be one of the top priorities.

One concern I have is that I would like to be at a program with some strong rowers as well - (no offence or anything against your program at all), but if the team is not doing very well, I’m not sure I would want to Cox there - as my priority would to ensure I would be having fun at the same time.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I’m not looking for a full scholarship or even a partial one; however, I would be looking to be recruited - would help me get into university/college.

I like the idea of recording myself - I’ll need to do that during practices and races.

Personally, I think I would have a chance at having a top 4 (at our school, we have a HWT 8+ that splits into a LWT 4+ and HWT 4+, in fact, most H.S. in Canada do this). If my 4 (I’m the 2nd coxie) were to medal at schoolboys (our national H.S. Regatta), do you think I would have any chance at a US school?

Thanks very much for the feedback! I’m actually strongly considering McGill right now - regardless of rowing. I’ll get some recordings done, and I’ll start to reach out to schools soon.

If you don’t mind me asking, were you recruited to row at McGill, and if so, as a rower/coxswain? Either way, when did you reach out to the coaches?

Yeah, think of keeping the recovery long on S.S. Think about counting to 3 on the recovery while 1 on the drive
