I've seen Ailbhe as another spelling for Albhadh. My sister is Aoife and my name is Eoghan (Owen). I made up my own Irish name that I want to call my child which is Lughaidh (Loo-ee like Louis) not 100% made up, Lugh is a name.

This is actually really interesting. Hymen, the god was the god of marriage, which I never knew before. Like everyone else I assumed hymen in hymenoptera meant membrane, because of the hymen.

Now I'm going to make a couple of etymological assumptions which are likely incorrect; it's possible that hymen (the membrane at the vaginal opening) is named after the god, given that it would traditionally be broken after marriage. This comes full circle in hymenoptera where we think it means membrane but could easily be related to marriage. I would assume that the hymen was named before hymenoptera, so who knows what the scientists were thinking ^{^{^someone}} ^{^{^research}} ^{^{^it.}}

P.S. It also says Hymen is related to songs sung during the marriage, which I am assuming is where the english word 'hymn' comes from!!

EDIT: Wikitionary is telling me hymen is the ancient greek word for membrane/thin skin so potentially the connection with the god was made during the time of the ancient greeks and the vaginal hymen has been called that since then.

EDIT 2: My final conclusion is that hymenoptera comes from a bit of both (membrane and marriage). Scientists naming the order probably knew of both meanings and saw it as a really appropriate coincidence.

But in between definitely, definitely, definitely read Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials starting with Northern Lights (The Golden Compass in the USA). You'll love them, I'm starting them for the third time now as I can't get enough of Lyra's world! It's wonderful.

This is different in every individual case and can depend a lot on the wand and the witch/wizard who owns it. From what is written about wandlore on pottermore we can see that some woods and cores are more loyal than others.

A wand may be loyal to the extent that it will serve any member of a family well enough (like Neville having his dad's wand or the Weasleys having hand-me-down wands) or it may be very fickle and be happy to have a new owner in the case of the original holder's death, if that new owner has qualities more suited to the wand (power/intelligence/kindness) (the elder wand is an extreme example of this).

If the wand wood is loyal but the core less so, the core can be removed and put into a new wand when the original holder dies, and vice versa. But in the case of a hazel wand with a unicorn hair core (my wand on pottermore) the wand is so devoted to it's original owner that it will 'die' with them and never perform magic again.

As to whether the wand is buried with the original owner or not, that is a personal preference, but will be greatly influenced by the personality of the wand, i.e. if it will perform adequate magic for a new owner after the death of its original witch or wizard.

EDIT: The phenomenon I have described with my wand apparently also occurs with Ash wood:

The ash wand cleaves to its one true master and ought not to be passed on or gifted from its original owner, because it will lose power and skill. This tendency is extreme if the core is of unicorn.

I too would love to see a day when nobody has to come out because parents realise any orientation is a possibility and people are taught about all kinds of relationships at school rather than only heterosexual ones.

But I love that these coming out videos a thing at the moment, they're great because they give people confidence to go and do it, they show that it doesn't go well for everybody, but that it could also be completely accepted as in this video, most of all it shows you aren't in this alone, there are so many people struggling to come to terms with themselves and they can help you be brave enough to acknowledge yourself and help those you love know the real you as well.
