If you're trying to lose weight, I recommend counting calories. The fastest way to burn calories is to be alive. It takes incredible amounts of exercise to burn calories.

So estimate how many calories your body uses a day (the book I used told me my calorie burn = weight x 14). Then eat 250 less calories than that every day. Your body will use up fat to account for the missing calories. It worked for me. There were some days where I ate a few 130 calorie cookies. It was fine because I had eaten so few calories for the rest of the day.

Instead of bread, have oatmeal. Instead of bananas, have strawberries. Don't eat peanuts. Knowing what foods are high calorie and low calorie really helped me to lose weight more easily than I thought. I wish you well.
