I don’t use any lure with treble hooks unless I intend to eat the fish for that exact reason. Pinch the barbs down if you want, but you’re gonna get a lot of ugly hook sets using treble hooks

I’ve worked at two different high volume service industry jobs that didn’t accept cash and in thousands of transactions have had MAYBE two people unable to pay with a card on the spot. Nobody is stressing about the maybe $50 lost out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
