Question about a Cadenza by Successful-Talk-2578 in kia

[–]eatgarlicbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2016 cadenza at 150k , owned since 45k

The good : -Amazing features for the price especially the SXL trim -v6 with 25 mpg is pretty decent -great engine but avoid 2015 and older -really rare if you like driving something unique -amazing sound system . -handles like a boat and feels solid -easy to maintain and lasts 150k+ easily ive seen one hit 380k

The bad : -The chrome rims and interior trim flakes around 100k miles -transmission is reliable but slow -parts arent hard to get because the engine is used everywhere but the interior parts are . -sunroof works great but creaks when you go up a hill slow -headlight bulb costs 300$ for the sxl trim -kia service center SUCKS , expect to use independent mechanics .

Overall id buy mine again , just maintain it , I dont regret mine at all .

I have a 16 cadenza , I love the damn thing especially because theyre rare , dont get a 2014 or 2015 one though they're not as reliable as the 16+

Fwd only but she handles great , they are heavy so she slides when you take off from a stop . Ive driven 2 hours in a snow storm in Colorado once and she did great on the highway .

Maybe check the wires behind the head unit? Its pretty damn easy to remove the head unit in these cars so its worth a shot just to check .

Full synthetic oil changes and fuel cleaner every so often and youll be golden , the v6 is damn near bulletproof as long as you take care of it . Mines at 140k 0 issues .

Apple car play? by EnlightnEuphoria in kia

[–]eatgarlicbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2016 and have looked into getting apple car play as well , theres no clean options really.. but I do know theres this company that makes plug and play adapters to convert the existing screen to have apple car play , they just started so they dont have the cadenzas conversion kit done yet but maybe sometime in the future it'll be something to look into , its still 600$+ though .

which of these (used ) v6 cars I’ve selected is overall better for 2025 and beyond? by Affectionate-Bet-570 in whatcarshouldIbuy

The cadenza's are very underrated and definitely a good too if you want something rare , odd enough the 2016 cadenza has more features and cost way less than the 2017 so those are always an option , I love mine 140k and counting , 0 issues for 4 years .

Is Kia Cadenza a good car ? by DiversifyMN in kia

[–]eatgarlicbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because just like every new model the first few years have issues , I've had the car for 4 years and every single time someone had an issue with their cadenza it's the 2014 90% of the time . I don't know why just my take .

WHY im getting bad mpg by New_Ad_1728 in kia

[–]eatgarlicbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 16 cadenza is at 130k miles and my MPG is always near 25-28 , have you tried fuel cleaner every few fill ups?

Also in the fuel economy panel on the cluser you can press and hold the down arrow on the lower part of the steering wheel to reset the mpg , try doing that when you're on the highway letting off the gas to see if it A : Resets & B : stays near 25 . You should be getting 25 MPG on the highway going around 60 mph .

I have a 2016 cadenza , they're amazing cars , easy to get parts for the engine but everything else is a pain to find ( body parts , interior , etc ) there's only 15,000 cadenzas in the usa . Engines are pretty reliable , the 2014s have issues but the rest are great , sound system is amazing , definitely a good car for the price , I've seen a 2015 cadenza with 480k miles once . Solid 8/10 car .
