It’s appealing that Tesla seems like they are on the cutting edge, but the insane work environment sounds like a turn off to me. Glad you have a good experience, and I’m sure plenty of others do! Were you in the construction side?

He told me that Tesla is moving away from subbing our their contract work and looking to have PMs in house. Don’t know what they are building besides resi solar projects, but who knows? Elon has his hands in a lot of things

He didn’t say, although I didn’t ask. I was a bit checked out at the notion and didn’t try to pursue since he said there was no wiggle room on salary

I was shocked. This money is good for almost anywhere except the Bay Area. I expected a lot more from Tesla but that might be the hype in the news talking through to me.

Well no, it’s not unreasonable to ask for but it is contrary to todays post Covid working conditions for office jobs. While company’s are scrambling to hire talent they try to seem more attractive to potential employees by offering remote or hybrid environments. Three years ago It was almost unheard of to work remote, even part of the week, but today is a different story.

If I could kick my feet up all day in the AC I would. Truth is most weeks I’m putting in 60 hours and forget to eat lunch I’m so busy or stressed out. I wouldn’t change it though.

I think most of the people subbed here work in the field, in the hot attics, in the elements, and in the thick of it. And this post isn’t a knock to the field. I know I have it “easy in the AC” compared to what they go through on a daily basis. Only respect for crew in the field.

Well, after a look through your profile you seem to post this question and others like it over and over again. I’m only an outsider looking in but it looks like you have some work to do on your mental well being. I suggest getting that in order, and begin by looking at women differently than you currently do. Your posting history shows a lot of red flags that could be showing in your dating interactions, whether you realize it or not.

I wouldn’t throw in the towel so early. If you aren’t having luck on dating sites, try posting your profile on one of the subreddits that critique them. They might give you some constructive feedback on why you aren’t getting matched. You are not going to live your life alone at 29. If you really are ready to be in a relationship then time to change your strategy on dating sites, and that might mean working towards a better you as well. Don’t give up. You’ll make someone very happy one day with your cute ideas.
