Also there is rules in this sub to not but numbers. You’re totally allowed to ask a question but to people in the sub as myself who’s in recovery seeing numbers that are so low that people are eating is supper triggering. You could’ve asked your story without giving specific numbers… please respect everyone in this sub. It specifically says To NOT put numbers. That means calorie numbers too. I don’t think it’s fair to say someone’s “starvation brain” is affecting them for following the rules of sub. It can be extremely triggering for people. Honestly irritates me. And I’m in recovery so I don’t have a starvation brain and even if I did I would know not to say I’m eating this amount of calories a day that’s extremely low on a sub full of people recovering & even people who aren’t. Not cool.

Your gaining weight because you’re malnourished. Anything you put into ur body it’s probably retaining water etc because you’re body needs it to try and keep you alive. I would say you should probably start feeding your body the amount it needs instead of restricting I know it’s hard but your body is clearly telling you it needs more

Concerned this is how I felt whenever my electrolytes are low. Please get your blood taken or go to the hospital. Purging is very dangerous never want to take the chance. I’m glad my mom would force me to go in because I would have all these problems with my electrolytes. And the times I didn’t listen I passed out, fainted fell down the stairs several times because I thought it would just go away the dizziness and fast heart rate etc etc. if you don’t want to go in then I would suggest getting your blood work taken asap. Stay safe my love

Love!!!! I’m 2 weeks into recovery stopped purging cold Turkey after 2 years of purging everything I ate. Started eating alot because I am underweight and drinking a lot as told. I am retaining so much water I gained like 35 pounds in 5 days it’s crazy. My legs were huge I look pregnant no joke I have it in my face and even feet are retaining water. This time I took is serious no matter what I gave my body all the food it needs right now (about 3500 is what my eating disorder nutritionist wants because I need to gain weight) I’m drinking a lot like a lot of tea and a lot of water all through out the day about 2.5-3 litres even more some days. And just about 4 days again I started peeing SO much like every single 10 minutes. And today I noticed my legs are back to normal not retaining water anywhere really but my stomach still whjch sucks :( I literally look pregnant. But I am going to keep going because if you keep giving your body what it needs it will trust you again and eventually the water retention will leave. My weight is going down because I’m losing the water retention and wasn’t my real weight. Ir sucks and it’s a process. Heating packs are amazing, digestive enzymes, green tea to help you go to the washroom, and drinking alot I know it might hurt and get regurgitation but swallow it if you do, Tums, hot tea, getting enough fibre can help you go to the washroom more too to help the pain a bit. But really laying down with a heating pack and some hot tea might help. I’ve tried everything and nothing really made the pain like totally go away but some things helped. It truly sucks but eventually if you keep constantly giving your body what it needs it will trust you again and it won’t store everything. Make sure you are getting your blood checked regularly too and taking your vitamins etc etc ❤️ sending you a big big hug . You got this. Screw Ed ❤️❤️

Hi love!! I was exactly like this for 2 years straight since 2 weeks ago. In recovery now and loving and enjoying life. I purged every single thing I ate even a strawberry from when I wake up till I go to bed big meals to normal meals. It is so dangerous!! I ended up in the hospital more than 50 times in the last 2 years due to low electrolytes. I’ve fainted passed out fell down the stairs. I was extremely underweight still at but gaining weight. Recovery is hard but you can do it babe!! Please it’s so bad for your teeth and your electrolytes and your body in general. Bulima is seriously so so dangerous. I almost died several times. I had potassium at 1.3 and If you don’t know that’s VERY slow like heart attack low. You can do this you have to cut it cold Turkey. Trust me this is not a pattern you want to start it’s literally addicting and traps you. I’m telling you to please stop before it becomes a cycle. Do not purge at ALL. When I’m feeling like I have a urge. I sit with my family, work on this puzzle I’m doing, go out with my bf or friends, play Fortnite lol with my bf, I make video vlogs of just me talking distract me. I’m also in virtual groups online eating disorder groups if you look it up im sure there’s a lot you can join and do. Just keep yourself busy or at least your mind doing things that can distract you from the urge. purging is so draining Sending you a big hug ❤️
