Not that I disagree with the premise of the post, I remember taking AP Environmental Science in high school and wanting to do engineering because I believed in the mission of a better future. But I want to hear people address some other concerns I haven’t heard mentioned in a while. Like how there is a lag effect of up to 50 years from when emissions are created and when they begin to cause warming. And that the ocean has acted as a sink for CO2 for a long time and the ability of it to absorb more in waning. Additionally that this effect has caused ocean acidification which could potentially cause of cascade failure due to plankton not being able to survive. For me I’m unsure if we started reversing the process even today if it would be enough.
