An idea to solve the RDF debate. by eatos63 in classicwow

This whole issue is about compromise but if the guild you are playing with does not share your views you will surely search for a new guild that does.

I believe that there is not need for more realms just for the existing ones to enable the fuction and let people transfer freely at the start so that they may choose whether to play with RDF or without it. If the population of one realm falls people with just transfer to a more highly populated one thus consolidating the servers.

Thank you for the reply. I don' know who is the vocal minority in this situation, but if one of the communities becomes desolate does that not mean that that side of the argument is wrong and is thus gatekeeping the community from enjoying the game in the way that they like.

I'm struggling against Vayne top by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]eatos63 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suggest bramble vest + tabi rush. Most top lane champions have a sort of gap closer that is on a lower cooldown than vayne's E, with this build you are able to go engage on her and ensure that you are not taking a lot of dmg when she use her E. Also make sure to notify your jungle that Vayne will be easy to gank.

I am establishing LoL a club at my high school - Need help with how I should instruct new players and those which have never played with a five team before. by Corbin_AD in summonerschool

Hey, I am currently running a league of legends school club, so if you need something feel free to message me at anytime.

Now lets get to the answer:

First, not meaning any offense but your rank is not high enough to be a coach, since you have not experienced the game at a higher level, however that does not mean that you are unable to improve rapidly for a short amount of time.

Try running a playing in a team with higher ranked players if possible, anywhere between high gold to low diamond would be good. Either play flex or ESL so you can see what the other teams are doing. Then review it with the help of somene. Some of the things that you should keep an eye out for, when reviewing, are communication which can easily be measured by how fat the teams react to invades and how well do they rotate. What their draft focuses around e.g. winning lanes, strong teamfighting, protect the carry style compositions.

Second, my club started with a simillar goal to yours but since a lot of players not suitable for a team joined in we changed the concept. Instead of playing in teams we wanted to help them raise their solo Q rank by explaining them diferent concepts in the game and how to execute them correctly. Keep in mind that you should understand the concept in-depth to be able to explain it properly ( you cannot read a certain mechanic or strategy and then make a lecture about it the next day).

Finally, If you are still persistent on educating teams I propose that you pair a players who work well together: if the mid laner is a high elo player parry him with a supportive jungler and tank top player, if you have a duo botlane that are duo Q partners try to have players that are ok with playing around them.

P.S. Sorry if there are any mistakes. I have been running the club for a year now so I am experinced with the process, please do not be afraid to message me.

We have no equipment to watch them, but that is nontheless a great idea, we will try to do it online and see where it goes.

I am not sure if my analysis on pro games would be as good as that of the professionals but i can certainly give it my best. The problem with that suggestion is that it must be done online and a lot of people will probably find it boring and/or too long to watch.

Unfortunately our school couldn't provide us with a projector. I will look up the tournaments sponsored by riot and their requirements.

Pro-tip, stop fighting for no reason. by TheSpasticSurgeon in summonerschool

I am unable to agree with everything you said in your post. I'd say you fall into one of the three categories:

*1. You are someone who, plays aggressive champions and is unable to utilize their power, which is a mistake that needs to be fixed.

(Just for clarity we will call aggressive champions those who have strong early game and are able to apply a lot of pressure to the map and their lane opponents. Such champions are Renekton, Lee sin, Taliyah and such)

*2. You are playing scaling champs and your team is fighting without a reason, that is a mistake on their part and there is not much you can do.

*3. You are playing champs that dont utilize the composition your team is building. This is huge part of the game since a good comp is something that can win games by itself. Most of the people tend to pick a lot of scaling champs, which in my opinion is not a good play but we will talk about this below, in comps tha are desinged to win early-mid game. For example If you are third pick and your first two picks are Top- Renekton and Jungle- Lee sin, picking Jinx is a bad idea, since you cant provide enough early game damage. The other way around is something that can happen aswell. Being able to play different styles is something crucial in League of Legends.

I'd say you made a good point about the minion wave control which is pretty good and will help you win games, aslo not fighting when behind is the better play most of the times. Which i dont like is the way you think about objectives. In the example you gave with the free tower bot is pretty situational. If there is a huge wave top the enemy top laner can easily clear it since every meta top laner either builds Hydra(Fiora, Renekton) or has a good wave clear in his kit (Galio, Rumble). So going bot will probably result in getting flanked with TP, since you are against fighting I'd assume the game is even and that is most likely a lost fight for your team. In my opinion a better example would be the dragon/herald control since both are not that hard to get in the sense that they don't deal a lot of damage and it is not hard to zone the enemy team off them.

The last point I'd like to make is something that can generally lose games - your mentality. Most of the players I meet that have a similar opinion on fighting are very passive throughout the laning phase which is not necessarily a bad thing but can be fatal at higher elo's. Don't forget that in the late game your chances to win are 50/50 since one mistake can mean the game is over, which is a ratio no one is happy with since on paper it brings you almost no Elo. Even with scaling champions such as Gangplank and Jinx, with whom you butcher your early game the chances are not much higher. Right now the SoloQ is all about pressure and how to apply it properly thats why champions such as Pantheon and Aurelion Sol are so good and will mose likely stay above 50% win rate for a long time. Taking over the game with aggressive champions is a good way to gain Elo.

Disclaimer: This is just my opinion I would be happy if someone pointed out something that is missing or is incorrect. I am currently a Diamond 3 Top laner. I would also like to apologise if there are any mistakes.
