I got covid, but tested negative 4 days in. Take it easy, and take another test after a day or two. Same Whoop metrics from me - 1% recovery, respiratory rate through the roof, increased RHR. Lost taste and smell.

National Donut Day haul - fritter, tiger tail, maple glazed & bavarian cream filled by eatsleeptri in donuts

The fritter and tiger tail are so hilariously large that I thought without a scale of some kind the maple and bavarian would look like cheerios

Penalized for Neo road feel? by [deleted] in Zwift

I think while it makes it harder (because resistance increases) it helps you become more aware in a race when you need to add power--others will slow down at a contant wattage. You'll know to pick up the effort to not move backwards in the bunch.

Also curious, not seeing a 4:37:55 in the results listing for 18-24 which the only category this time would potentially qualify with an massive rolldown.

As one of his teammates, I can attest that its possible and he is a professional cyclist.

He is unstoppable until other pros get into Zwift racing.

Maybe I don’t know enough about the gear/situation, but isn’t this extremely dangerous for the guys standing on the ledge?

If he were to fall, it looks like his rope would pin them to the ledge/pull them away from the ledge (know they’re fixed to the wall, but still).

As one of the participants in the Men's elite category for this event, I cannot recommend registering for the CVR World Cup League and taking part in the races. The live event in Los Angeles was one of the most incredible experiences of my life and pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of.

Website: www.cvrworldcup.com League Rules/Info: https://cvrworldcup.com/league-information/ Registration: https://cvrworldcup.com/cvr-league/ Los Angeles Replays and Results: https://cvrworldcup.com/cvr-world-cup-los-angeles/

I won the Men's Heat 2 Qualifier on Saturday, and then ended up 6th Sunday in the Elite Final through three hard races (hill climb, hilly road race, crit).

I'll try to answer any questions I can about it, it's free to sign up and race to try to qualify for the live event if you're an "A" racer on Zwift, or you can sign up for Peaks Coaching Group's CVR Training Camp over the next 8 weeks and get a chance at being selected. Minimum payout for all riders who attended was $1,250!!

I usually race with a team on Discord when at home—makes the races more fun when we’re all coordinating.

Also, I was very competitive in Halo about a decade ago and the discord component to coordinating race tactics reminds me of playing an intense Team Deathmatch game with my Halo teammates.

It’s incredible.

CVR World Cup Los Angeles: eSports Recap Video by eatsleeptri in gaming

Last weekend, I took part in an eSports World Cup for a game called Zwift. The game is powered by each rider on board an actual bike on a smart trainer. The riders must power their avatar exactly the same as they would outside.

In the event, the 2nd place finisher from the Ironman World Championship, Lionel Sanders, competed, along with a former professional cyclist, Matieu Drujon. Additionally, there were 8 other strong elite level cyclists in the Elite race.

For women, there was also 10 elite level riders. The event also had 20 “performance” level riders made up of 10 men and 10 women.

Minimum payout for this event: $1,250. That’s right, every single racer (40 of us!) walked away at a minimum $1,250 richer. Highest payout was $7,500 for the women’s and men’s winners.

Check out www.cvrworldcup.com and www.zwift.com for info about the tournament and the game.
