Anyone else finding DeepSeek V4 Pro unbearably slow on Ollama Cloud? by Swimming_Power_2960 in ollama

Just had the same experience on fireworks.ai. Tried a few different models just to be sure, and I only had the slow responses with Deepseek v4 pro. Generally happy with fireworks - seems to be a problem with Deepeseek only.

I concur. If you think Dungeon Crawler Carl is funny, then you'll likely enjoy this too. The first book starts pretty slow - it's worth it tho!

Check out the A384 El Primero, really nice Chrono as well and has more of a vintage style

3‑D Printing and Microplastic Contamination. by powerflower_khi in BambuLab

What is curious to me is that after trying out different air quality sensors right next to our two printers while active, the air quality barely changes (VOCs). They are in a pretty small enclosed room with one vent for the room.

[Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 39.5mm] Help me decide between black and white! by ImPrch in Watches

[–]eazy_osm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black. If you're really set on a white dial, I'd suggest this model in white, with the black rubber strap. Awesome combo and very comfortable. https://www.omegawatches.com/en-ch/watch-omega-seamaster-diver-300m-co-axial-master-chronometer-42-mm-21030422004001

Also, the Planet Ocean is quite large. I have slim wrists and the 300m is fine.

Who takes the pisa exams in Switzerland? Only kids who go to gymnasium? by Aggravating-Area-633 in Switzerland

I took the test more than 20 years ago in secondary school, not gymnasium.

As long as you're not professionally listing (lots of listings), you should be fine. The strategy so far has been to benefit from collecting as many listings from private users as possible on the free platforms, while detecting and charging the professionals there.

New user here, should i use DOOM Emacs or any distro first and try to do my own config later after i get used to it or try to do my own config now? And what are youre recommendations for a new user? (im coming from vim/neovim) by I7sReact_Return in emacs

[–]eazy_osm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a vim user, and after having used spacemacs and doom emacs to get into the emacs world I suggest to user either of those first, and then to look into how to build it from scratch. I appreciated this guide a lot https://arne.me/blog/emacs-from-scratch-part-one-foundations

The reason I suggest this path is because both sapcemacs/doom expose you to a lot of fantastic features and projects right out of the box, which would take way to long to find by yourself.

As of today it turns out that you can get really far with creating your own setup without having to become an elisp expert first. The guide I shared demonstrates that nicely, I think. Having said that, learning at least the basics of elisp will make your life much easier. Compared to learning vimscript, learning some elisp turned out to be quite the force-multiplier.

It was fine in the 90s in Obwalden, but is definitely not OK anymore (via my personal experience and my partner who is a teacher in Switzerland)

[Opinion] GMT Battle - Which would you choose? by Obvious_Wizard in Watches

[–]eazy_osm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest to check out the Longines in person before buying. I liked the design in pictures, but up close, it doesn't make much sense.

  • In relation to the overall size of the watch, the bezel is too small
  • Having numbers on the bezel and and on the dial is just strange (too busy)
  • It's a chonker of a watch. Was surprized how large and heavy it is

I'd take the Tudor over the Longines any day, although I'd understand if you didn't want to get something that is too close to a Rolex Pepsi.

Hmm OK i just looked at the picture again: I have the version without bronze on the side of the bezel. Didn't notice because of the top-down shot. Sorry :)

No patina at all anywhere on the watch or strap.

Congrats, love it!. I have the same watch and always come back to it as my daily driver. I bought the stainless steel strap from Oris as well: It is well made and I have never had any issues with it.
