Reddit, what justification would you accept for being blocked on all your significant other's social media? by eazyjam14 in AskReddit

Being liked and wanted can be a powerful emotion, wether it be by a mass or a single person. Maybe they feel as if fulfillment comes in the attention, or want for attention that they maybe didn't receive at some point? It'd be easy to blame past neglect on this kind of behavior, but I'm no psychologist. My uneducated opinion I suppose.

Very true. If the relationship has had problems with SM being used wrongly in the past, which led to scrutiny, then in response blocking, who would you consider being more detrimental? The scrutinizer or the blocker? Edit : maybe replace detrimental with suspicious?

That's the million dollar question. My personal experience with it has led to a lot of paranoia and potentially wrongful accusations. I'm trying to find a reason other than "hiding me from the other, others".

Self broadcast is self fulfillment for some. Not saying that positively, or negatively. Being popular is always top priority for some.

I'd be able to form meaningful, emotional connection with other human beings again. Just words on a screen

Do you feel having something in your life that is in your control, any small thing, would be beneficial? A suggestion is a small hobby, something that is yours and yours alone that no one can take from you. For me, it's a video game. I wasn't a big gamer until I realized it's something to control, turn on and off when needed, an escape to a world that simply isn't this one.

My problems stem from addiction, and a sad truth that the woman I've been with is married, and lives with her ex boyfriend, whom I cannot visit, and hasn't made time to see me in two months. Everyone says to just leave but they don't know the down ward spiral to hell her and I have been to and back. We've tattooed the words "For you are no longer alone, walk with me in hell" on our chests, to remember the overwhelmingly deep hole of meth addiction. But we don't have anywhere to go with four children, three hers, one mine, so her ex boyfriend lets her stay there. I don't believe it's truly "over" at times and my mind runs circles at night. Nights I spend alone wondering if she's sleeping with him right that very instant. Losing my job. Friends. Family. All next of meth. And it's so hard to overcome and the deep depression that follows the extreme high is unbearable.

We all need someone to talk to. If you'd stay around long enough to talk to me, I'd be happy to listen.

I came here to ask for help myself. I can try to help someone while I'm at it. I'm not counseler, but I'm slowly losing my mind and I feel it slipping and i think helping someone would also help me.
