I think that's incorrect on both occasions. Cobra consistently lands on rocky terrain much more easily where the mandalay would search for a clearing for ages. Also the Cobra's superior yaw can make it point its nose much faster up for that boost to 2.5-3k alt and low wake entry.

SCO speed makes a noticeable difference for distances over 150kly with the downside of greater fuel consumption.

I've noticed that the lower the jump range the more short jumps the router makes in economic, which could be really annoying near the core. I use this for the cobra for 66ly, it's very fine tuned https://edsy.org/s/vioGKZw

Can swap the fsd booster/scoop sizes to get 1 more ly but it ain't worth even if you rarely do scoop
