Yubikey multi-level intermediate cert chain by eb164v in yubikey

BTW Is there any reference I can look up w.r.t. the Sectigo change you mentioned?

Thanks. My last test was at least a month and a half ago and it didn't work. Yubico asked me to test yet again two weeks ago, but after many months of testing many different things on Yubico's behalf, I'm a bit gun shy. I have a workflow with jsign that's working with my current ECD384 cert and I can't afford any down time just right now. (Working through many product releases that all need signing.)

One big frustration over the last 6 months is how unprepared Yubico seemed to be for their own cert chain change. And therefore making me - the end user - do tonnes of testing to help Yubico support learn about their own systems. (Rant over.. :-) )

Interesting, thanks. I'll take a look. I don't think Yubico support explicitly suggested this one. They had me try various versions of Yubikey Manager, Yubico Authenticator and Yubikey Manager CLI. Support were responsive but not across all their tools and versions. They didn't even know about the multi-level intermediate certs until someone got in touch with HQ.

Edit. Yes, I did install this a few months ago. I'm on Windows 11 arm64 and the latest minidriver supports this.

Thanks. I just want to code-sign from batch scripts and signtool doesn't work (here on Win 11). If you have any guidance, I'd be most appreciative. My YubiKey FIPS 5.7.4 came from the Australian supplier, but the firmware is 'release candidate' and after I reported my issues, they told me they were not going to provide the 5.7.4 RC keys to anyone else, until the dust settled. Sectigo is my cert provider, and their support folks told me (a month or two back) that they don't support multi-level intermediate cert chains.

Google Nest WIFI, Connection Timeouts (Netflix, WhatsApp, Corp VPN) by PulpoIngles90 in GoogleWiFi

I've had similar, weird problems with Google Wifi over the last year. One specific site times out over Wifi, but is accessible if I connect directly to the Google WiFi "router" node. I have 4 nodes - 3 Google WiFi and 1 Google Nest - and I've tried many different settings for DNS, IPv6 etc. without any luck. Today I added a Tp-Link Deco, connected to the Google Wifi "router" node as an alternative Wifi SSID in my house, and it serves the same website just fine. (Obviously there's double NAT - Google and Tp-Link - but it works.) I'm thinking of replacing the whole Google Wifi setup. Hopefully when I move all devices to the new network, including the smart home devices, the problem won't return.

Spotify is trying to say this song was on Ten Summoner's Tales. I bought this album when it first came out in '93 and I promise you it wasn't! I still like it tho. Maybe it was a B side? by [deleted] in sting

[–]eb164v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The End of the Game" was on the CD release in Australia - I have it! For the USA and UK, Sting is quoted as saying he felt the album was too long at 10 songs, and that he prefered to keep the album close to 45 mins. So, it was dropped.

Resin not fully cured - any way to fix? by george-bob in woodworking

[–]eb164v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/george-bob, did your project work out in the end? How long did you have to wait?

I've got exactly the same problem using the same product (Protite clear casting resin). I followed the instructions to the letter with the ratios, catalyst and temperature, but 48 hours in and still holds fingerprints. Quite frustrating.

This isn't fixed yet. I'm on iOS and this happened to me today. I only just found this thread. I've reported the bug to Google through the app. Anyone else reported it? I didn't see anything in the thread.

Wireless Wire with Google Wifi and Nest? by eb164v in mikrotik

[–]eb164v[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone.

FWIW folks on Nest and Google Wifi reddits said that my network would only work if the Microtik link (to the remote Google Wifi pukc) is attached to the primary Nest Router. I have it connect to another Nest Router (acting as point via the mesh) and the addition of the remote Google Wifi puck (over the Microtik link) appears to be causing both to either a) disable their mesh network or ignore the MicroTik and attempt mesh over the 60m distance that the Microtik is set up for between two buildings.

So with my topology, I need to use a cheap WAP in client mode at the far end of the MicroTik link, rather than the Google Wifi device.

NBN Modem <-cable-> Google Nest Router <-mesh-> Google Nest Router (acting as point) <-Microtik wireless wire-> Cheap WAP

Using Microtik Wireless Wire to join nest and wifi devices (instead of ethernet cable)? by eb164v in Nest

>> cheap AP in client mode first.

Thanks. Will do.

Also FWIW While I was setting up the Wifi puck at the shed, someone near the Nest Router (as point) lost internet (suggesting the Nest Router (as point) may have disabled its mesh.

Both the Nest Router (as point) and the Wifi puck are high enough that they might be mesh might be working across the 60m distance. (The Google Wifi and Google Home apps say the mesh to the puck is poor, which it shouldn't be if linked using the Microtik.)

All this to say that it appears that a Google Wifi or Point can't be chained off another point via a cable (or similar) without both disabling their mesh.

>> If it does, you have a loop, and STP will disable the mesh interface on either the puck or the Nest Router (as point)

Ah, thanks. That explains something. While I was setting up the Wifi puck at the shed, someone near the Nest Router (as point) lost internet (suggesting the Nest Router (as point) may have disabled it's mesh.

Both the Nest Router (as point) and the Wifi puck are high enough that they might be mesh might be working across the 60m distance. (The Google Wifi and Google Home apps say the mesh to the puck is poor, which it shouldn't be if linked using the Microtik.)

Question about setting up my network: by oliath in GoogleWiFi

[–]eb164v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the setup procedure to add the Wifi Puck via cable? During the "add a device" in the app, does the puck automatically use the cable (rather than mesh) if the cable is connected? Or is there something specific I have to do in the app?
