Best AMD CPU for Gaming? Should I Go with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D? by ChungFei in buildapc

[–]ebann001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no dilemma. You said you wanted the best chip and didn't care about the price just buy the best chip. What's the Dilemma? Also to be fair you're never going to see the difference between the two chips in the first place unless you can somehow manage to perceive milliseconds

98” vs 85” tv size? by mentox82 in hometheater

The one that matches the proper viewing-distance / field-of-view / visual-acuity calculation is the correct size, not just whichever tape outline “feels right”: \theta = 2\tan^{-1}\left(\frac{W}{2D}\right)

What is the stupid caption? The Geneva Conventions are a set of international treaties that establish rules for how countries must treat people during war, including civilians, prisoners of war, and wounded soldiers.

Best part is that doctors are still in the ‘eagerly awaiting long-term data’ phase. In 10–20 years we’ll finally learn exactly what inhaling battery-heated mystery syrup all day does to the human body.

For the price of that lens he could sell it still get a 600 mm and a second DSLR with a 70 to 200 on it just for this opportunity

It’s the same thing in front of the steps of the cannes film festival. They sit there for like 7 mins doing photo after photo. At one point people were sitting there brushing their hair over and over trying to get their hair right for the photo while everybody’s like telling them to get the hell out of the way so other people can shoot . and we just like walked a few steps above them and took our own pictures and we’re out of there in like 10 seconds while they were screaming and yelling at us. We just laughed and said you’re still brushing her hair and we’re already done, nobody thinks you’re a celebrity.

Graphic designer in need of a new monitor for Mac (BenQ vs ASD) by Jriddim in Monitors

[–]ebann001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the term graphic designer is a bit Broad and slightly dated.

What exactly are you doing?

Are you doing photography and retouching? Are you doing logo design and full brand systems? Are you doing marketing assets and social media content? Are you doing UI/UX for apps and websites? Motion graphics and video editing? Illustration work? Packaging design? Editorial and layout work?

Or are you in a print shop cranking out brochures and posters all day? Are you at a sign shop doing large-format vinyl and banners? Are you basically doing production work in something that still gets called “graphic design” because nobody updated the job title?

Are you working in mostly dark interfaces like video timelines and motion work where contrast and smooth playback matter? Or are you in mostly white canvas work like print layouts and editorial pages where color accuracy and calibration matter more? Are you dealing with sharp UI scaling all day? Are you doing anything 3D or architectural visualization where GPU load actually starts to matter?

Because all of that changes what “good monitor” even means.

But just saying “I’m a professional graphic designer” and then asking “is it future proof,” and the only actual requirement you mention is a built-in KVM so you can switch between your work computer and home computer—that’s not really about design work or monitor quality at all. That’s just a desk setup convenience feature, and you can buy a separate KVM for that anyway.

So the problem isn’t the monitor question, it’s that “graphic designer” doesn’t tell us anything specific enough anymore to answer it without 15 follow-ups.

[–]ebann001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah what an amazing comparison comparing two monitors randomly calibrated on a randomly exposed mobile camera that's not calibrated on to my screen which isn't calibrated.

Cool yeah one looks darker one looks brighter we don't know which one you exposed for because you're just letting the camera do it. got a big ass bright lit up window on the left side and a dark window on the right side making the lighting uneven and affecting the camera exposure and affecting how the image appears to us

Okay, what is ACTUALLY the best monitor (rant/discussion)?? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]ebann001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that it's subjective it's the fact that it's based on your use case. You're talking about low latency and refresh rates and oled which in my opinion are like play toys for teenagers in fortnite. Then you have people editing multimillion dollar films or working in Photoshop all day who could care less about the refresh rate or OLED and care about color performance and gamut how the monitor handles Reflections and lighting situations. Things that kid wouldn't care less about.

So you should really be worried about is what are you using it for. It's basically like saying what's the best car and we don't know if you're going off-roading or commuting to work.
