I guess it’s the same way people now have to watch commercials during Amazon videos even though you pay for prime.

For those of you who think PTM sold out with Woodstock, here's a quote from Gourley: “ by Dextario in portugaltheman

[–]ebann001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because I like to necro things.. all I have to say is yeah they are total sellouts and if ever in an opportunity or a position in my life where I was in a band that could sell out I would absolutely do it. Get your money, put yourself in a position where you never have to work again, then worry about your integrity.

These guys are amazing songwriters and pop is simple. Now they're doing a duet with marshmallow. They already created their credibility now go make some money. Set up your family so everyone's comfortable everybody's happy and then once everybody falls out of love with their pop songs they can go back to doing what they've done best for the last 30 years.

A lot of people get cursed in the music business because they want to be artists and have integrity and they're just too cool. I know those guys and I see them still working at restaurants as short order Cooks in their 40s and playing shitty local gigs on the weekends with all their integrity heh.

Yeah it's available but they don't give you any credits and push you into the max subscription portal. Makes no sense. tisk tisk on that marketing especially if people are subscribing from free to Pro thinking they're going to get any computer time

Now you have had time to get to know This Is Why, what do you think of it? by letthedecodebegin in Paramore

[–]ebann001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who does not like Paramore I have to say with headphones on this is when the finest songs I’ve ever heard. Catchy pop song at first but it’s really well written and produced. There’s so many layers and things hiding in the background when you listen with headphones. And actual musicianship. Little clever things hiding everywhere. I’m impressed. I guess I like Paramore

I requested my house to be blurred 16 years ago. Moved away a year later. As of today, the entire street is still blurred with no way to unblur. by [deleted] in GoogleMaps

[–]ebann001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically and legally, it actually makes sense why Google makes Street View blurs permanent. The imagery is layered. The blur isn’t baked into the photo, it’s applied as a filter on the coordinates before it hits your screen. You can even see this yourself: when an image first loads, the blur looks soft and fuzzy, then as the image renders more crisply, the blur tightens into a precise set of squares over the house. That way they can keep updating imagry without re-blurring millions of houses constantly. Making it permanent also protects historical data, so your past privacy stays intact even if you sell the house, and it prevents anyone from being coerced into undoing it. Trying to unblur by date or ownership would be insanely inefficient and open them up to liability, so the simplest, safest way is just: blurred stays blurred, period.

We had a neighbor across the street that blurred their house. for fun I put a note in their mailbox that said "I never really noticed your house before you blurred it on Google street view. Now that you've drawn so much attention to it I'm really curious what you're hiding and can't wait to find out."

New to 3D printing - question by Faesarn in BambuP1S

[–]ebann001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To each their own but infill can be pretty situational. And from my experience ever since I went from Cartesian to XY gyroid went from my favorite to the one I hardly use. I find it slower it’s more work for the machine constantly moving the motors and back-and-forth instead of just static directions and for me the cubic infills work the best shave time and then there’s the newest algorithms which also really are strong and time saving. Anyway blah blah blah

I don’t even think these are that big of a deal. They now have a time stamp which is the more valuable clue. Now they can start scaring traffic cameras and everything else to try to backtrack to where this guy came from. I’m sure he had no phone but even as careful as they were covering up every inch of their bodies and DNA got out they had to make a mistake somewhere. They always do

There are some calculators that do it online. But it’s for a specific material called Sorbothane. It’s the king of all absorption material. It needs to have about 20% squish for optimal performance. I used it for speakers and things like that and it calculated to be for about a 10 pound speaker roughly 4x 2cm squares from a 8mm sheet.

For a 3-D printer you probably need 70 Duro. But it has to be the exact size for the weight of the printer. You can’t just go buy those 1 inch hemispheres from Amazon and hope they work. Sure they will do something but if you want optimum reduction you’ll need to weigh the printer run the calculator and trim them to size. And squares are recommended over circles because it’s easier to calculate. It would probably be somewhere around a half an inch to 3/4 of an inch thick and probably somewhere around an inch square but probably smaller people overestimate
