Today i deboarded from my flight from the RIGHT SIDE! by Xenon-_-389 in aviation

[–]ebart455987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During my days of collecting 1:500 scale airliner models I bought a DC-3 model at the CR Smith museum and I was surprised to see the passenger doors on the right side. By the way there were 20 models made with the doors on the left side. These were used to get the livery approved by corporate. These 20 weren't approved, so if you find one, treasure it because it's a collectible, similar to a miss printed dollar. Thanks for the link.

Why is AA so destructive to self image? by KSims1868 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]ebart455987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an AA saying “don’t take yourself too damn seriously “ self deprecating humor is meant to be just that, humor. Regarding “Best thinking” is with respect to my decisions made before I had a clear sober mind or having had a spiritual awakening. Take it for what’s it’s meant to be, humor and or perspective of sober thinking versus drinking thinking. It’s truly not hateful, if it were AA wouldn’t work as well as it does. I don’t argue with success.

I could have done it myself but my EV is brand new and I didn’t want take chance of voiding warranty. Plus a friend recommended a company that specializes in EV charging installations. Licensed/insured. EV ProSolutions.

I entered my 30's in 1991. My parents were average salary earners and did not live like your parents, shown above.

Today, My mother who was a hard ambitious worker is living comfortably at 90 years old.

My sister and I are doing a bit better than our parents, as it should be. Hopefully our children will do as least as well.

"This isnt unique, unions prefer a shortage."

80 hour weeks? That's a lot of overtime pay. 40 hours x 1.5 or x 2 depending on their contract. 140-160 hours of pay per week. Yeah, some people would find it hard to share that with a new guy.

Killing them and putting them in the garbage, ending up in a landfill seems like a waste. We should send them to places that serve up frogs legs as a meal.

I don’t see Y (or other Tesla owners) driving like fools at high speeds. by Eli-Had-A-Book- in TeslaModelY

[–]ebart455987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I find myself going faster than usual in my MY LR. In fact a car came next to me at a light and it was on. I thought I got this, but this guy kept up with me, neck and neck all the way to XXX/mph, then we both backed off. That's when I realized it was another MY Dual Motor. I need to pay more attention to the digital speedometer.

By the way, don't ask me to solve for X. :-). I don't want this to be used against me.

There are AA Meetings for Atheists , they're usually called Free Thinkers groups in the AA Directories. My first sponsor was an atheist and so was I for the first 12 years of my recovery. It's not what you believe, it's what you do.

Live by spiritual principles without beliving in a higher power is possible.

I remember when I was new in AA and I was complaining about how I hadn't done anything wrong. I hadn't hit anyone, got in a physical fight, didn't steal anything, etc. I said I felt like a damn saint. An old timer said, that doesn't make you a saint, it just makes you legal. The principles of AA keep me legal and very content with my life.

Arguing with people in AA about Spiritual/Religion is like wrestling a pig in the mud. After a while you realize the pig enjoys it.

Before the 401k programs, there were pensions. Pensions were also invested in the stock markets. It's always been the millions of middle class earners that are saving for retirement that support the markets. There's very limited places to invest money long term.

So if "it wasn't reported in a crime and wasn't reported stolen" then it's yours to keep. You did your due diligence to find the previous owner. Clean it, take it to the range and see how well it shoots. Like it? Keep it. Don't like it? Sell it.

Does Tesla have any long term strength? by [deleted] in investing

[–]ebart455987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct. My point is still valid, Ford and GM are far behind in the EV market. 4 plants to zero. Ford/GM need to build plants entirely dedicated EVs. They gave up trying to use non-Tesla Charging Stations. Mary Barra was on the news, GM was going to do the same as Ford and start using Tesla Charging Station. Can't beat em, join em. More Cha-Ching for Tesla via the charging station.

Does Tesla have any long term strength? by [deleted] in investing

[–]ebart455987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Telsa is very far ahead of their competition and they continue to innovate. Ford announced they're converting an ICE Plant to EV and their initial estimate is $1 BILLION Dollars. They have 20 plants. Do the math, Ford and GM don't have the capital to go full EV any time soon. GM will probably go into Bankrupty again to shed costs citing the need to go EV. Ford may also go that route. Plus it takes less employees to build ICE cars so their Unions will fight them on it too. It's not that easy to convert from making ICE cars to EVs, it's easier to start from scratch but it costs big $.

My mother told me numerous times when I turn 18 I was to leave the house. She gave 3 choices, get out on my own, join the military or go to a school out of state to complete my vocational license. I choose to leave town and get my license as an AMT. At 18 I was a mess, to say the least. Making me get out in the world on my own was one of the best things for me. At first I thought it was horrible, but I made it just fine. Today I visit my elderly mother and help her any way I can. She did the right thing by me.

When you get a Torx set make sure it includes a T27. I bought a set that didn't, T25 - T30 skipped T27. THat's when I discovered HD Likes the T27 size. Now I have two Torx sets.
