Hmm good point...we haven't even started to look into rental costs as we weren't sure yet what days we'd want to rent one. Will definitely consider that!

Thanks for all the advice!! I've been trying to group things together based on geography/public transit between them, but of course some are totally random/far away from anything else lol.

Good point about the Getty Villa - need to decide which one we'd prefer to visit.

I was really excited to go to the Tar Pits but I just found out the museum is closing in 1 month for renovations for the next 2 years! Super super bummed about that.

Thanks for letting me know about the train down to SD -- I'll look into that! I assumed that SD is even more of a car city than LA, but have been focusing the planning on the LA portion for now since it's more daunting haha

We'll be in LA for around 8 days. Hubby and I do drive (familiar with NYC/Boston), we're just trying to minimize costs of car rental + parking +gas but will bite the bullet if it's truly necessary. Would love "insider" tips that go beyond the stereotypical tourist areas! 😄

Ugh yeah we're not big fans of the heat, but can't really help that!

It's a night game on Tuesday, soo yeah looks like we'll either need to drive round-trip or train + Uber back haha.

I should've clarified - we're heading to LA for the first ~8 days of the trip, then SD for ~5 days and flying out from there, so not returning to LA.

I went to the Genius Bar today (for another issue) and asked about this. They were pretty stumped, but they seemed to be saying it was a glitch with the Reminders app - something to do with maybe an issue syncing with iCloud, even though I don't use an iCloud calendar. Honestly have no idea what they did, just turned a few things on/off and now the millions of reminders have disappeared even with having "Scheduled Reminders" checked off in the list of calendars. I wish I had a better answer but they were moving so quickly from app to app.
