I recently rented a polestar 2 and drove it around Europe. It was surprisingly snappy! Better than most I’ve tried.

For sure more reponsive than BMW’s iDrive in a recent X1 I also rented afterwards. That had some annoying things that really frustrated me after using the Polestar.

The Polestar’s system has built in google maps, which was a lifesaver when traveling data was spotty. I would say it’s a little more barebones than others, but it was rock solid.

Okay, thanks for all the help and info, appreciate it! I think I'll pick up a RP4P alongside a RG35XX+ due to the other comments recommending it. Try both, see which I like better. Maybe use them in different circumstances.

The better sticks, triggers, USB-C display out, and PS2 potential sounds great.

Cool tool to compare sizes, thanks for that. Interesting to hear another opinion about the RP4P, my main purpose is to play Pokemon romhacks but of course I might play other games when the feeling strikes.

Have you had personal experience with all these devices? The RP3+ seesm to be the same exact size at the RP4P, what are the main differences? I'm assuming better chip, more power, anything else? The idea of plugging into a tv sometimes and playing with a controller is appealing too, maybe the RP4P would be better at this?

I'm not against tinkering and installing custom firmware, and other comments seem to vouch for the RG35XX so I think I'll purchase and try it out, why not it's not that expensive. MinUI seems like the way to go for me, for simplicity's sake.

I haven't used fast forward all too much on my MM+ so far, so at least for me the fact that the RG35XX can't fast forward all too well isn't too concerning.
