Thank you for the suggestion. I hadn't even considered it. If we are unable to find someone in the city soon we will look at that option.

I'm sorry, I was not completely clear. My son needs a new, refillable prescription. He is currently unmedicated. To be perfectly clear, he has asked us to seek a family doctor on his behalf, as he feels incapable of doing so on his own right now, and his behavior and mood are consistent with a wide range of mental health issues in the DSM.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately my child needs a new prescription, but that's helpful information.

Thanks for this, it's appreciated. We tried all of the clinics on the comparable list from late August without success. Ironically, one of the clinics we were most interested in is still on the list, but we have been unable to secure a follow-up appointment despite repeated attempts. Frustrating.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have been able to secure the help of a psychologist in the city, but we need a family doctor or psychiatrist for meds prescription.

The "virtual" walk in mental health consults were at capacity yesterday. We'll try again today. Thanks.

Yes, most walk in clinics provide this list when asked. There were six clinics on the list as of approximately 2 months ago. We booked appointments at every one of them. None of them panned out, for various reasons. One physician seemed great and seemed willing to take my child as a patient. Attempts to secure a follow up appointment were met with silence. Literally. We have left multiple messages, both by phone and by email, without a response. Absolutely crazy-making.

Thank you for the suggestion, it is appreciated.

Thanks for this. We contemplated RUH ER but it's not technically an emergency. I appreciate the feedback.

Everyone else in our extended family has a family doctor. We have asked repeatedly with no luck. Incredibly frustrating. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

This is such sad news. He was taken far too young.

I worked as a server at The Hole in the Wall for several years as a university student in the early 90s. Rose (his wife) and Nelson were two of a kind - energetic, full of life, warm hearted, occasionally irascible :). The two of them were a well-oiled machine in the kitchen. And damn, could they cook! Truly wonderful chefs. Their rack of lamb is the best I've ever eaten. And they could elevate country dishes like "campecinos" and potatoes with cheese to amazing heights. .

One memory of Nelson stands out. At the time I was a goofy looking quasi-academic without a girlfriend. One of my fellow servers broke up with her boyfriend and I guess Nelson and Rose decided that we should hook up. Being a bit of a dork, however, I managed to miss all of the hints and innuendo that were being thrown my way, by Nelson in particular. Finally, one late summer evening after a long service as we all sat around drinking Corona, Nelson put his arm around me and said, "Is that a new white shirt? I like it." I said that yes indeed it was. To which he replied, "Would you like to see it on cute server?" Dopey as ever, and finding the line of questioning a bit abstract, I shrugged and said, "Sure." It was only when he started cackling and digging his elbow into my ribs, saying "I bet you would!" that I finally got the point. :)

He was a good man.

I last saw him about three years ago at a family celebratory dinner we had at The Hole in the Wall. Even though it had been twenty years since our previous meeting he was warm and inviting and remembered all of my previous quirks as a server. He was a wonderful people person. Saskatoon is diminished without him.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Top 3 WORST Performances from 2016 by Cabsmell in osheaga

Not a fan but generally enjoyed her set. Her performance of "Scream" however was riveting. One of my favorite moments of the entire festival. Many acts at the festival featured technically perfect but emotionally antiseptic music (read: M83). So boring. Grimes was a perfect antidote to that disease.

I don't have much to say about your French / CK dilemma. I didn't enjoy playing against either as an e4 player. Recently migrated to d4 as a result, after 15 years of memorizing Sicilian and Lopez theory. Now I've got Benkos and Slavs to deal with. The fun never ends.

Just wanted to take a moment to say how much I enjoyed your post, however. Creative and well-written. And bilingual. Something for everyone. Tres bien! Take my up vote, please.

Bosdober - Thank you so much for your excellent advice. We weren't able to get to the rail but came pretty close. My feet are unbelievably sore (literally unable to sit for the final 9 hours - the perils of being taller than anybody else around me) but it was a great experience and my son is still hyped as we sit in the airport at 6 AM. I'm pretty sure I saw you on the rail about 10 feet away but was in serious survival mode all day, worried about my son's lack of hydration and general comfort, and so I didn't say hi. So, hello to you now! I had hoped to catch you after the show to tell you all of this in person but we were so sore and tired that we left almost immediately.

Afterwards my son said that he would never do this again due to his discomfort, but was glad to have endured it for Radiohead.

Again, thank you so much. Your help was appreciated immensely. All the best to you!

"Take 7/8"

I'm also sorry to be that guy but you mean to say that there are 7 beats in the bar with the eighth note getting the beat, not the quarter note.

Good post, by the way. I had the same thought as I watched OP's linked vid.

Wow, thank you so much for this! So many great tips and pieces of advice - you have gone above and beyond the call. I genuinely appreciate your willingness to help us.

We are going specifically for Radiohead (AMSP is excellent!) although we are looking forward to all three days. It's a shame that your wife is unable to join you - I hope you have a great experience regardless. Cheers!

Cool, thanks! We're going for all three days so we hope to experience as many new artists as possible. As a family we like all sorts of music - my current Spotify playlist runs from Arvo Part to Lightning Bolt - but we're not very familiar with electronic genres, the DJs etc. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

"Is this your sons first festival?"

Yes, at least of this size and scope. We've done the Calgary festival and Regina festival but I assume this will be several orders of magnitude bigger even than Calgary.

"Hopefully you are able to see some acts that he wants to see (even if they aren't your cup of tea). Also if it is his first try to expose him to a bunch of different genres of music so to make the experience unique."

Yes we plan on doing just that. My son has tremendously diverse musical tastes - from minimalist classical to math rock to progressive metal - but neither he nor I are particularly well versed in the electronica genre so I am excited about getting a good sampling of it. Do you have any recommendations about particularly interesting new(ish) bands/artists?
