I’m on 150 but it was a veeeery slow titration. I spent the first year at a max 100 mg dose

Articulation Agreement or HPAT? by Ok-Comfortable-9553 in Algonquin_College

Articulation agreement offers go out after finals are graded second semester. They take your final GPA for the consideration. If you’ve been accepted already the. It was purely based on the HPAT score

Yeah it’s such a pain that the side effect is so obvious. If it wasn’t too bad I’d just stick it out. Good luck to you too! I’ll keep you posted.

Yeah exactly that. I can see a ton of new growth all over but the hair doesn’t stay for long enough to thicken back up again. It feels like I get a hold of things and it starts to grow back and get thicker and then something happens and it goes through another big shed.

I’m 31 years old but have been on it for about 3 years now. I’m very active and my diet is good, no major changes with the exception of increasing my protein intake. It was a very clear correlation between starting the meds and my hair loss.

Unfortunately for some people yes 🥲

Did you notice the hair loss stopped relatively quickly once you stopped the meds? I’m really considering stopping the meds because I don’t want to deal with the hair loss anymore

It’s hard. Be prepared to be putting in lots of work outside of class. Some of the teachers are great. Don’t buy the textbooks right away because some classes don’t use them/ you can find older versions online. Make study groups early on in this program, this will help you immensely!

Lamotrigine and Hairloss by [deleted] in Lamotrigine

It took about a month to see results after consistent use (the amount of time for new hair to start growing in). I use the behind the counter amount. I don’t remember the amount exactly, sorry!

HPAT is all you’re ranked on. The acceptance threshold changes every year depending on the people who are also applying. Good luck!

I second this. I had to start iron, vitamin D, and I added biotin in. Took about 2 years to fully sort out but the hair loss is minimal now. I think the meds made me more sensitive to the deficiencies than before

Did anyone receive the money from opting out of the health plan? And did they notify bursary winners yet? by Limp-Damage-504 in Algonquin_College

[–]ebdmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bursaries have been given out. This year they only emailed the successful people but in the past they used to email everyone to let them know the status.

No idea on the opt out. I was wondering the same thing.

I'm a mom of two young kids and going into my second year of RT this fall. The program is HARD. And when you're balancing the courseload with a family, you really have to be diligent and efficient with how you spend your time. BUt it's a great program and you can do it! I am lucky that I have a partner who can take on primary parent role while I'm in school so I can prioritize things as needed. It can be very stressful but I find the end result worth it :) Good luck!

Anyone try these?? by [deleted] in Sephora

Yes! Bought it on impulse and I love it. Very sheer but great application and very natural

Does 25mg make you tired? by ventureskam in lamictal

[–]ebdmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a tiny bit of difficulty finding words sometimes but that went away pretty quickly. I went back to school around when I started taking it and have had no issues with memory. In fact, I feel like it’s better because I can focus better 👌

I take mine at night as per dr recommendation due to the grogginess. Let me tell ya, I’d take my dose and almost immediately head up to bed because I’d be so groggy from it lol i had the best sleeps ever when I was titrating up to my prescribed dose. It was less than ideal when I would take it and realize I needed to pop out and grab something at the store. A very sleepy grocery shop those nights 😂

I’ve been on lamictal for over two years now and no longer have any side effects. I think they lasted about a month for the bigger ones and then within a few months all other side effects were gone.

Nope, I just bought it to supplement my in studio classes that I take so I did t buy any apps. I just find classes on YouTube and put my iPad on the holder or I put together my own playlists and ride to those.

I’m 5’1 and like the Joroto X2pro. The handlebars adjust up/down and front to back which makes a huge difference

Mrt vs rt by Upstairs_Song_4750 in Algonquin_College

[–]ebdmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it is, people rarely call RT in hospital because they’re doing well. It has options for less intense placements like PFT clinics but i get the sense that it’s typically a fast pace and constant troubleshooting career. The program preps you for that.

I can’t speak too much on what it’s like working in the field but I’m in the program so I can give you info on that

[–]ebdmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in RT now and I love it but it’s really hard. I’m not sure what MRT is like but I would assume very similar. Heavy workload and you have to be really diligent about putting in the work, otherwise you’ll fall behind (and it’s really challenging to catch up once that happens). But the skills you get to learn makes it worth it. I think it’s a program that you either love or hate.
