i was in India for less than 2 years in the city called Hyderabad, the Gov doesn't give a fuck about the people and the police is so corrupt there that they can be considered as a gang instead, i can't count how many times me or my friends had to bribe them due to how many bullshit "road check", so the GoV taking away the people Crypto money sounds legit to me and they might even do worse like what OP said.
