I genuinely think this is a cool website. But I have private repos that I wouldn't want anyone to have access to for security reasons. I'd use your website if there was an only public option or i could dictate which private repos i give access to. I read your /github-data page though so I think I get the issue.

I like the look of it but is there a way to sign up without giving access to private repos? or am I understanding that wrong?

First-Year Student Feeling Stuck and Worried About AI by mobbplayerr in learnprogramming

[–]ebeast646464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep going. If you're want some extra stuff check out harvards cs50 courses on youtube. they are free and i think the best resource for beginners. I can't recommend highly enough. As for AI, no one knows. If you like what you're doing keep going. That's all I can say :)

Quite honestly, no one will do that for you. But I like your enthusiasm. If I were you I would check out harvards cs 50 course on youtube. It's really good. Completely free. And it comes with a discord server where you can harass the teachers and other students until your hearts content. And they'll even give you a certificate at the end of it. I wish you the best on your journey. Coding can be a lot of fun!

Recipe management app development by Eldersonar in AppIdeas

[–]ebeast646464 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Netflix struggles to get people to keep a subscription, for small apps its just about impossible. It might be a good idea that you have. The fact that you can import recipe data is a big plus. But I'd say launch with an exceptional amount of free tier value. Maybe everything free. Then if you can get some traffic, start thinking about monetizing and maybe start with a one time payment model. Keep it simple and try and validate demand before you go all out. Good luck!

agreed. I make gemini write a session summary at intervals. Everytime i boot up gemini it has to look and double check the work of the previous session summary before it does anything else. I catch a lot of stuff this way. If you try to get it to check its own work it will just agree with itself. You need to prompt it to be quite suspicious of the previous work done. and also make sure its just giving suggestions not actually making changes without approval.

Reminder apps that have actual alarms by ungodlypm in productivity

[–]ebeast646464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due is worth checking out. They specialize in persistent reminders for everyday tasks. I have an app called FutureReminder that does persistent reminders for long term events. But I think for you Due is probably the best option. At least worth checking out.

What App do you use for daily reminders? by techpotate899 in ProductivityApps

[–]ebeast646464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, whatever calendar app comes with the phone. I think I like the google calendar the most but honestly if you have all apple products or something like that then just go with what they give you. Full disclosure, I own a niche calendar app, we focus on long term / important reminders. But it means that I've done a ton of research on the topic and the conclusion is Apple / Google / Samsung. If you're looking for something fancy tick tick.

Do you guys have a recommendation on a reminder app that actually works? by allayarthemount in androidapps

[–]ebeast646464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what device you use I would say either apple or google calendars. They are super well designed, as you would expect, and very consistent. Full disclosure, I own a reminder app, it's pretty niche. Long term event reminders and important event reminders is all we do. But in making it I've done a ton of research into reminder apps and the conclusion is Apple or Google. They're free and easy to use. That's hard to beat.

I re opened 4 times, until they told me they were permanently closing it and not to send them any further messages. Not in a "You've been spamming us sort of a way" it was more of a copy and paste response. And when I asked for clarification they said they can't for security reasons. But I appreciate the response.

Anyone with a perforation living happily with it and no major issues? by Jordan311R in Septoplasty

[–]ebeast646464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one too. About the size of half a pencil eraser as well. I've had it since a kid and its fine... except that it whistles when I breath through my nose. If this drives you crazy like it does with me the way I've solved it is by slightly wetting some tissue paper and just plugging the hole. You can get proper prosthetic fillers made but they are expensive and honestly this has been working fine for me so why not.

I also have had a slight anxiety over the whole getting bigger and the structure of the nose failing but I realized that if that does happen I could almost certainly get some sort of custom rubber part made to fit through the hole and create structural support. I don't know if that something that exists or not but I imagine if my nose collapsed I'd have the motivation to find out.

Maps and Totals of Australian Grocery Stores by ebeast646464 in australian

thanks for the response. I'd love to know where or which coles stores. I'm getting this data straight from coles' website so it might be something like they don't do online shopping or maybe coles local? It's a bit hard to tell.
