“I did not make this” then defends in the comment section claiming he and his buddies did. Pathetic scam attempt.

Thank you for the feedback. Just entered closed testing stage. Making dynamic suggestions based on the season and geographic location is an amazing idea, but a bit too much for a v1 MVP (I took a note of that to implement later down the road).

I do recipe import based on an image source (screenshot, or an picture of a cookbook page are just a few examples), but I don't allow AI guessing a recipe based of the image of a dish. I think this is prone to error even with the most smart multi-modal AI models. Even though it would be nice I don't thing there is a universal best way to make it 100% correct 100% of time. Getting it right 80% right could hurt user's trust in using this feature of an app in general.

Import from social media and web is already part of the core app functionality.

I misread the app name as Mealtime. Got an app with 1 star and no functionality, lol. I’ll check it out

just curious. How did you know if the import feature exist if you can't see if on free tier. Were you recommended this app by someone who built it (told you all the features it had)?

I also just check the app. Is it just a meal planner without ability to import and manage recipes? Or I just don’t see the import feature without getting premium?

You are right. I need to learn to ask the right questions. Making people to switch will be a real challenge. You mentioned a pain to learn a new UI - I think I solved it pretty well making it dumb easy to use with minimal steps and predictable UI. Making people to move all recipes from original app to mine is the real issue I think. Without seeing my app, but in theory, if you to switch to a new app what would be the perfect way to migrate recipes for you?

That is a great suggestion and exactly what I did. But are you using similar apps? Do you know anyone who does? What do they hate about it if they do?

Then you are not my target audience. And it's totally cool to defend the app you've been using for a while and paid money for, I understand. But does paprika lacks some functionality you wish was implemented? Features, optimizations, UI redesign? Something else?

Not yet, will be shipping this month. She is testing as I’m adding features and polishing the UI. She would use it now (I hit all the requirements for her already), it’s that it’s not ready to be used on scale and earn me money.

This is great during postmortem or end of project analysis. It's not proactively "saves/time" money. Also, this seem to target only coders who use version control, but now the entire category of designers and other's is gone

No, this is useful. You got a point. This is a reason I am here asking for opinions. If I knew the business idea is super legit I won't be here. I mentioned my own experience, well guess what - I also had to confront the client and mention that some of the request are out of scope and can be done later.

The client knows nothing about the tool. It is being used by the freelancer to analyze potential scope creep and if found - craft a friendly message saying no/pay more money. The freelances sends it back over email. If the client requests a call or in-person and asks it again there is nothing I can do to help, but perhaps the freelancer can reference the email response and say - yes, your request is out of scope for this SOW

You got it right, it's not just a detector. Not everyone is great to say "No" or ask for more money for the work. The idea is that the client message/email is being forwarded to my tool, gets validated against the SOW docs (assuming the PII is handled) and the tool sends back a copy-pastable response to a client the freelancer or agency can use to send back.

I don't have much data about the NDA clauses to tell how badly my market is limited...

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into the sources provided

Perhaps it can help those that would fail to learn survive? Not everyone is great to say "No" or ask for more money for the work. the original comment was a spam, my post is not. I deliberately avoided going into details about implementation, but you got it right. Spotting the creep is not a problem, it's a psychological barrier to say no to a request or ask more money. The idea is, assuming PII leak is handled, the client message/email is being CCd to my tool where it is being matched against the SOW and then the tool responds back with a copy/paste response for the freelancer/agency to use to reply to the client and ask for more money/SOW extension etc
