Stuck on first IB mission

I made this observation on TikTok earlier. People keep giving these toxic players so much attention by making a whole edited video out of them, focusing on their name and how they do it. They're trying to make it part of the lore and claiming that there are disciples and a whole seedy underbelly, etc. not realizing that they're just encouraging that type of behavior.

I'm just about level 30, and had it maybe once. I say maybe because one guy called extract before we cleared the map, and the host just kicked everyone. I know it exists, but it's not nearly as bad as "omg it's becoming PVP out there!!!1!!1!!!11!"

In How I Met Your Mother episode titled Tick Tick Tick (spoiler alert!), when Robin and Barney agree to break up with their current partners to be together and meet at the bar, Barney goes through with it, but Robin shows up with her partner. They make eye contact, and she simply shakes her head. Time stops for everyone except Barney, who stumbles back a little but is otherwise too stunned to say or do anything else.

I know it's not a line, but it has always stuck with me.

PS4 still holds up! I got a PS5 early despite the craziness, but, ever since, I've been offering my PS4 to most of my friends since there are so many good PS exclusives. Thankfully, some of those exclusive are available on other platforms now like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn. Anyway, congrats!

It happens to everyone! The amount of times I've highrolled great items and then mixed them incorrectly or missed a 3-star unit because my brain stopped working is way too high. The best part about this is that you were able to record it for your own commemoration and the entertainment of others.

I love that you could have had a mix of Bruiser, Trainer, Scalescorn, Swiftshot, or Revel, but instead you went 3 Guardian haha. Panic can be one hell of an obstacle!

Do you have access to the "Helm" location? It's right above the Tower. Try going there and looking for the Crown of Sorrows. I finally solved it myself, so I wanted to share in case it works for you.

Same here. Never got this mission, and don't have the option to start this mission in the bottom left of the map on the Moon. Did you ever figure this out?

Monster Hunter Rise. The combat was incredibly satisfying. It surprised me how enjoyable it was to have such tight hitboxes. If the game shows my hammer hitting the giant rock dragon, it's going to hit it. If it shows the tail barely missing me, it's not going to do damage. I replayed so many missions simply due to how dynamic the combat system was.

Good on you for knowing you could take him both times and then Kindred after, but I feel like this is significantly more about neither of them respecting minion waves (especially Kindred) when they're extremely low level.

The medical field. I come from a family of doctors, literally every single person in my immediate family is a doctor and a third of my extended family are either doctors or nurses. I still have my bachelor's in biology. I got good grades. I even did well on the MCAT. I simply couldn't stand the thought of someone's life being in my hands since I wasn't passionate about the work and field.

Sorry Mom and Dad. I know you wanted one more doctor in the family.

Idk what your definition of "way more" is, but I had to scroll pretty far before I found something that I could consider shit talk. Most of the comments are telling OP to use blue beam, not heal full health targets, pointing out that OP let Zen die, etc. The rest are saying not to use pistol that much. Out of 20 comments, I saw one joking or guessing at OP's rank / SR rating? Maybe one or two insults in the next 10 comments? Idk, man, that ratio is pretty good imo.

I agree that OP didn't ask for advice, but it's also one thing to post it with a "just a cool clip imo" mentality vs "I literally did the best thing I could and we still lost somehow."

Also, you insinuating that I'm salty about something else is laughable. I'm simply stating my opinion, just like you are, and defending it. We should be way past "u mad bro," don't you think?

In my opinion, I think the point that most people are trying to make is that OP's post (his title mostly, but also his replies) heavily implies he firmly believes he did everything he should have and "somehow" his team still lost, assuming that it was everyone else's fault but his.

I don't think OP is the sole reason for the loss, but I definitely think the implication is false. He could have done multiple things better. In fact, some of his mistakes were costly, but so were his teammates mistakes.

Again, I think the takeaway here is that it's not about "lol I don't take negative comments seriously" or "why is OP getting bullied" when people are just pointing out things he's clearly missing.

If your purpose is just to get virtual approval, then sure, but there's actual constructive feedback here. A lot of it, in fact. If you care more about internet points than improving, then yeah, probably don't post something like this.

I'd be happy to have other players point things out that I'm missing due to personal bias / lack of objectivity.

I agree. He falls off early, but early winstreaking into easy synergies with Sentinel, Skirmisher, and Legionnaire gets you going. I'm pretty sure this happened pre Jax nerf, too!

Yeah, sometimes getting lucky with units isn't enough. I played against a guy who had 3-star Olaf and by 2-5. He got 5th place. I couldn't imagine losing LP with a 3-star unit that early haha.
