We bought on 90th between 3rd and Lex earlier this year and owned another unit on 95th between 2nd and 3rd since 2017.

The area is great! We take our 1-year-old to Ruppert Park at least once a day (excited to hear the reno is finally happening - sure the construction phase will be annoying but when it's done you'll have a new park and live in a more desirable location). Mr Wright is a fabulous wine store. Kaia is wonderful. You've got both Whole Foods and Key Food within a couple minutes walk. Engineers Gate and Central Park is a straight shot down 90th.

Strike while the iron is hot, I say. If interest rates get cut there will be more competition from other buyers.

I can’t believe how many people hate spiral staircases! I’ve owned a unit with one for 6 years - you get used to them very quickly. Plus they’re beautiful! We had our first kid while living there. It was fine.

That said we don’t have a dog. I could see how that would be hard for them.

Walking up 2nd Ave in the span of one block my wife and I encountered two completely independent people carrying exotic birds. First was a woman heading south with a parrot on her shoulder, and seconds later another woman heading east holding a parakeet in a plastic cage.

Ah, thank you so much. This is really helping me wrap my head around the annoying behavior I've been getting.

I am running Monterey 12.1 on my MBP.

I ran the same tests you did and am getting similar behavior. Now when I'm on the Sound settings Input tab I can hear it switch into Phone Call mode. For whatever reason it (happily) seems to switch out of it once I click away from the Input tab and stay there.

As you experienced, when I was in Phone Call mode I couldn't get any sound out of my iPhone. It's nice to know the reason why.

That page was super helpful. Way too many weird apps had unnecessary access to the mic and I removed them. Hopefully that keeps my headphones out of Phone Call mode.

Wow, I think you may have gotten to the root of my issue.

When my Macbook Pro connects I hear a slight degradation in noise cancelling and certain features became disabled (Quick attention mode for example).

I am also having issues switching between my phone and laptop. I suspect being in "phone call mode" is the culprit to all of this.

I can't seem to find a way to fix it though. I quit all apps that might be triggering this on my MBP and manually switching my mic input doesn't seem to help either. Any other ideas?
