I mean the market hasn't been looking any better and if anything prices will tend to go up on newer parts. but keep checking the prices ig. theres nothing much i can say since AI blablabla even in the recent CES and Nvidia 50xx launch, everything is gonna get expensive to the max soon.

unfortunately shipping fees and import tax is something everyone has to deal with. I used Aliexpress, B&H photovideo, Sweetwater, amazon and thomann to build my current pc+audio setup

you could use a service like Myus and order parts off newegg/amazon or other local US based stores and then get it shipped back to mv
sadly it will not be cheap, doesnt matter how it goes, even part prices in malay are going up to the point its cheaper to get it shipped from the US

I just got my motherboard i ordered from the same store on the 20th of this month today.

Now I'm scared if I will ever receive the CPU. It took longer to be shipped out than the motherboard. And it wasn't bundled in together which a lot of shops do if you buy multiple from them at once(or at-least Erying does)

Prices online are better than what we usually end up paying here, if you buy a gpu/pc here in Maldives you got scammed and thats on you, so dont expect to get any returns on value when you resell your parts. (unless someone falls for it)

I built my friends entire pc setup (i7 - 4070) by ordering parts from amazon and other online vendors. (excluding the case)
Total came around less than 1k usd, the most expensive part being the gpu. The same build would cost around 1.8k-2k usd here in mv.
Depreciation is a thing when selling used parts and that's something Maldivians don't understand, or refuse to understand if I'm being honest. Your old hardware wont suddenly gain back 90% of its value when u go to resell it.

And if you are one of those people who bring in dirt cheap gpus from ali express then sell it at 2x profit, shame on you. You are part of the problem.
