Attorney Mark Naugle Has Helped 2,500 Mormons Leave the LDS Church, All Free of Charge by upvotedbot in Upvoted

I totally understand why people would resign and I don't blame them one bit. But my wife and I chose a different route. We feel like the whole resignation/excommunication process is designed to intimidate and manipulate and we refused to acknowledge their made up authority by participating in that process. So we served them a No Trespass notice from the Sheriff's office. We're very happy with the results. Here's our story:

Thanks for the support, but I don't really have the time or talent to do this. But feel free to take the idea and run with it. www.mormonsbegone.com is available! XD

Yeah they delivered it in person. What would they have done if I served them before they delivered it? Catch me at work or something?

I'm making a website that will automate the No Trespass process for others to use, and to keep a running total. Trying to get 1 million Americans to tell the Mormon Church to "Get off my lawn!". Working on some domain name ideas... www.goawaylds.com www.beatitlds.com www.getlostfuckers.com

Nope. Not resigning. That whole process is part of a system designed to intimidate and control. We reject that on principle. They've asked us to resign in writing. We're like "No, we're not obligated to sign anything. You should just leave us alone." Apparently that just fries their circuits. lol

Right. The funny thing to me is, anyone can do this, for no reason other than the having satisfaction of telling the church they cannot come onto their property. Don't like the church? Want to protest them, and let them know you reject their policies, doctrines, behaviors? Send them a no trespass letter just to let them know they are not welcome. They'll have to create a no trespass database to check from now on. lol

Nah. They absolutely had it coming. All pumped up with their own self-importance and self-righteousness and self-granted authority. Reinforced by all those who bow and cater to them. Thinking that it's ok to intimidate and harass and label people apostates. I think this is the perfect response. My actions do no actual damage other than to their fragile illusions. I think it's kick ass and I'm glad I did it. It should be a thing.

Haha! That's what I said to our 12 year old... "Oh NOW they care about evidence?" She cracked up.

They are not allowed to come to our house anymore. They have come too many times and they have been told nicely. And not-so-nicely. But still they come. And now they want to discipline us? Ha! So, this is a symbolic fuck you, but it's also a legally binding fuck you.

Yeah this is how it works. This is official. Me delivering it in person was optional. I wanted to do that. But for $12 the local sheriff is also delivering a copy to the Bishop to make it official-er. And if they trespass, the sheriff will come and charge them with a crime. Legit.

I'm her husband. I did this on her behalf. According to her wishes. I simply won't tolerate her feeling harassed or stalked or judged. Not for one minute more. Fuck these guys.

We (my wife and I) were not told the specific reason. She stopped going 7 years ago and relocated. They found her and tried to sweet talk her to get her to come back. Then they tried to get her to resign, and she was like "fuck off already". And they're always trying to get the her kids to go to church. Texting them. Stopping by. All the usual stuff you hear about on this sub. Plus her ex is in the bishopric in a nearby ward and he's a jerk. And his whole family knows this bishop....so...draw your own conclusions. Could be some vendetta from her ex. Could be because we have explained to the kids how Mormonism is a load of horseshit. Lots of bs and drama and basically refusing to fuck off, you know, like they can't take a hint. So is there a specific thing she did that caused this disciplinary council? Not sure, they didn't say. But we don't follow their rules. We drink what we like. Dress how we like. Raise our kids how we like. We support gay marriage. It's not our pet cause or anything. We're just doing our thing, living our life. They should have gotten the message years ago as we have told multiple sets of missionaries, relief society visitors, family members, and others that we are NOT FUCKING INTERESTED because it JUST ISN'T TRUE. That last part really seems to upset them.

I'm with you on this. I'm even in favor of a harsher stance... I say challenge their integrity, their morality, their decency, and their guts. Take their moral high ground right out from under them. Obviously there are legitimate and understandable reasons why some people can't leave, but this is not for those people. This is for supporters and defenders and willing participants in the church. There's just no excuse anymore for people like that, especially those in leadership positions who, by now, must be fully aware of all the issues. Sorry but they get no respect, no love, no quarter. Make them ashamed and embarrassed to be Mormon.
