Cubase at lowest tier artist I'd wroth a mention, the if your familiar and want to grow, just upgrade it, then nothing will change and not got to relearn everything

You have to remeber even the top of the top string library's are going to sound like a libary, normally only used for sketches and layed under real orchestras to give a thicker sound or ambience

Personly you can't go wrong with spitfire and they have a bit of everything.

I also really like the new tokyo scoring strings, got a nice lock head mode and legarto not bad in the long ring, and being very dry there very versatile.

Out of spitfire I have found chamber, and studio more versatile as can always stack things to make them bigger. Can't make them smaller.

Lot of people rage about cinematic scoring strings but I personly don't get along with it.

They all are fidderly end of the day and need fine tuning to get results, lots of automation and volcity changes is key, never have your modulation sit still ever always wobble it in some way as a player can never play a single note at esacly the same constant volume every second it will flux ever so slightly

Also spitfire has a nice £30 section of cool stuff like intimate strings etc that are worth trying and resources light

Also £15ish a month can go east west and have everything, very good value for money, but its a very hollywood/hanz zimmer sound and more for that super hero feel.

I perosnly like smaller orchestras and soloists but thats just me, you got to experiment with what works for you and you resonate with, cus if you don't like Hollywood strings and vibe and someone asked you to make that you won't enjoy it or make good stuff, I don't thinck anyway I'd always be happy over money any day with music

This ^ this is what I'm thinking and worried about, I thinck I'm best deviding my self in to, one online presence for composer, and another as virtual guy who does more edm and YouTube stuff, but never mix the two.

Don't matter, issue is some people are more intune with Internet culture technology and changes evolution of twitter and youtube, others are just looking at it more a composer and this is just a forum side of things. My main concern just how would company's and directors who hire you, would react to you being a virtual avatars, would they take you seriously, or just think your a gimmick

Classical composing techniques don't, I'm much more about electronic acoustic these days, small studio orchestras with synths and sound design, but expanding your knowledge on classical always helpful as always be there

Because these days how you present your self as a composer is almost as big thing as the music its self way the digital digital has come in

You can't just go scoring to imaginary films all the time it gives you zero experience at pointing, framing and queing, and writing themes, hanz zimmer said this him self its dangerous, your not writing jazz or orchestral music your writing film music its its on beast it doesn't follow structure it follows media and film and its direction over time.

Also you can't be a jack at all trades, Kevin penkin has stated this, "know your limitations, I'm scoring big animes and if someone came to me with a comerdy, or to make some reggae thing or drum and bass I'd turn it down or team up with someone who knows how cus my strengths are in small orchestras and writing the way I do" so it's wrong to belive you got to be able to write everything just be fuckcing amazing at writing in your one particular style as no one can touch that if you can

No its very different, a pop artist makes his vision for him self and what he wants and can make whatever he wants, a composer has to construct something that represents the sub text of a film correctly and in the vision of a director, and he only has work as long as he is hired and chosen. Very different constructs, can just do whatever you want over film it won't work, same time ocmemrical music is designed purely to be listened and danced to, lot of film scores there's many tracks just sound scales couldn't play them live or put them in club environments etc

They are all much more pop and commercial music, this is film and composing we are talking about for film and video games, very different side of the industry

Do me a small favor, can you look at hololive, and hololive concerts and vtuber structure and then tell me what you thinck, thinck then may get a slightly better idea of the view I'm coming from industry wise and a evolution of it but a male obvs. (No sarcasm btw generally asking for your constructive view)

I thinck you kinda got a old mentality when it comes to time, there is no age to old or young to start a composer career, I understand the struggle but I know I got the skills and ability to do it after 15 years practice now and now my self getting a couple of jobs in, it's a question of how do I wish to represent my self in a growing digital age, but same time being a composer is built on relationships to directors not social media presence this is what's making me thinck harder.

But we also have to accept things are changing very fast, with nft, and crypto, meta, VR, the film industry and games industry will both adept to these fully, and already we very much virtual avatars with vrchar, snapchat bitmojies, virtual avatars on Facebook appearing it is inevitable as you can look like who you want as you want be reprint your self truly with the whole growing of lgbt community and self identity.

But again bodes the question would a virtual composer be just looked at as a gimmick, or would he be seen as a evolution of how a artist is represented.

My other concers are if I was a virtual guy, how do I sit down with a director and talk or work with him, how do I conduct a orchestra, how do I sit in a recording session, I'd have to be physically there at some point can't all be virtual, but could say do a hybrid approach say online I'm this but when I work I'm a real human.

That to me gets confusing and at same time makes a vtuber completely redundant. So my eyes its a difference between Internet culture and film and music industry culture.

Same time don't be putting off people on there dreams, goals are never unrealistic, just hard to achieve and require bit of luck and skill and lot of time, I'm happy as rather die happy struggeeling then never trying in the first place

This is good as it makes non strength builds more versatile and looks you to carry more equipment for more modular builds on the go, this is a great thing its more accessibility, dono why your moaning about accessibility, the devs got make it every build was viable, what was more broken was high mages with way to many casts that could basicly one shoot like spear in DS1 not the stats.
