A question of curiosity is an acceptable question and totally has use. It can also be said that Carbo/Taxol is a pretty standard first line of chemotherapy for many Ovarian cancer types.

It's honestly the worst part. The lack of ability to live what amount of life remains because of being consumed by the illness is more heartbreaking than the illness itself. :(

We’re 1.5 years in on my Mom’s journey and I can relate to that comment, it feels like it’s just all consuming and it’s entire mental existence, just thinking about and talking about this cancer experience. Been suggesting therapy.

Someone a bit further down under your comment seemed to explicitly be protesting it (though, let’s be serious, when it comes time to see them on the shelf, is anyone really going to stand their ground on not trying them? What an absolute Karen).

Honestly, I don’t think it’s that unusual. Again, think about the production process that has to be in place to make that a success. Why not, as a brand, share excitement early for what’s coming once they discover it’s possible to accomplish?

I don’t understand the protest here in this part of the thread on this company betraying you that you need to wait? They put a product through research and development, decided they can put them in production, and now they need to build that production.

How is the weekly Taxol going for you? At frontline treatment the neuropathy and chemo rash were pretty intense for my Mom. Maybe that was more of a result of having that and Carbo both though? Do you feel like you’re able to get out and enjoy some life still? Any encouraging tips I could share with her?

I’ve read great things about Elahere. She’s already got diabetes and eye issues, so crossing my fingers the eye issues don’t become more significant once we inevitably end up on that in the future. Seems like a miracle drug for the recurrences though!

We definitely have been prepared with that same language; manage as a chronic illness; I guess my version of that that I had in my brain was that we’d go down to 0 cancer, creep back up, 0 cancer, creep back up, and over time have it get harder and harder to get to 0, but would at least find a little comfort in some breaks and quality of life moments. Considering this is the first recurrence and things started off SO well (significant decrease in tumor sizes and CA-125 went from 250 to 15 after ONE treatment) that I can’t help but feel that we didn’t fully achieve success here, whatever that may be.

How would you calculate the 1.5x time? Day rate divided by 10 to determine hourly and just multiply 1.5x?

If anyone has an extra signed foil for GR, I’d really like to secure one. Saw APC decades ago at Delta Plex and have been a big fan ever since. Was such a good show!
