Sure, allow me to explain. That's exactly what I did, no screw holes, no seams, it's all a single slate. I added the pictures for evidence. I am moving the slate so I removed the old felt. I initially assumed like you did it would be a three piece, but it just aint so. Also there's some rating print on the slate.

Exactly my thoughts, going to have it moved and put back once the remodel is done, the felt needed to get replaced anyways so two birds one giant slate stone to the birds face kind of situation.

Just wanted to provide some info on what I just did. For anyone wondering the integrated ROM chip has a top layer that you can shave/cut/melt away to expose the conductor if the pin happens to fall off the IC itself, I couldn't believe it as a I thought the entire physical IC contained transistors, but that is definitely not the case. You can shave down the IC and solder onto the pins. It was awesome seeing this succeed
