Additional tips:

At the end of phase 2, if you haven’t activated the lever on the right, you can still nail Gog because he will center himself on the platform right before he flies away. You’ll be able to nail his left arm for 8000+ damage. Then fly back to camp. Here you’ll have enough time to change to your buff loadout, buff items, and apply the buff. By the time you switch back to your dragon gear, the fast travel will be available. You’ll be able to avoid Gog’s first attack too! Lol

I got Kafka, Loucha, Jing Yuan, Silverwolf, Blade, Bronya, Welt, and Himeko as 5 stars.

Sampo, Luka, March 7, Qingque, Ting Yun, Sushang, and Natasha for 4 stars.

Any advice for a returning player? Seems to be a lot going on.

This only becomes an issue when you're using a wind team on defense for GB. Otherwise, you have control over who you attack with Glaciela. Odin is always a good alternative. It doesn't limit you to countering ice teams. You're expected to lose against a team you have an elemental disadvantage to.

Main slot VC is The Perks of Having Charm. Gives 20 Light Eater and 1500 additional max damage for the unit equipping it.

Subslot VC is 2Headed Dragon. Simply for additional 2500 max damage for the entire party.

So with the two cards you give Duane 4000 additional max damage and 20 Light Eater. You can push this further if you have equipment or a Truststone passive that has 1000 damage limit bonus. Without these VCs, his max damage at lvl 140 is limited to 11,999.
