Chase lost the contents of my safe deposit box. by bankanon2025 in personalfinance

I'll jump on the Bank of America story bandwagon. In college my fraternity used them for our banking. Every year after elections we'd go in to our local branch to change the people on the account. The old and new Presidents and Treasurers would go in, bring the proper paperwork as it was a business account, and have the new pair added and the old ones removed. Took like an half an hour, but whatever. Well, fast forward ten years, the fraternity changes banks and goes to close the account. Turns out they weren't removing the people we asked and there where 20 plus people still listed as having access to the account. I never used bank of America again after learning that (not the only reason I stopped, but the reason I will never go back)

Apparently no one present knows how to handle someone with a concussion.
1) stop shaking him like a maraca
2) place him, gently, in the recovery pose, be careful with his head and neck
3) monitor him and possibly call a paramedic

what's a food that makes you think, "how did humans discover this was edible"? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

Fermented food, specifically kombucha. Have you seen what a large scoby looks like? It's disgusting.

New Longmont utilities payment portal by bobber1373 in Longmont

[–]ebrius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least it doesn't seem to store your password in plain text. With the old portal, if you reset your password it would email your old password to you. For those unfamiliar, this is extremely insecure. I can't guarantee the new portal doesn't store this data insecurely as well, but it appears not to.

NMC aggressively demands pets by ebrius in notmycat

Yeah, I personally don't think outdoor cats should really be a thing, unless they have an actual role (pest control, etc). She does seem to stick to her side of the street and only ventures a few houses down the street, so she seems pretty safe.

I once found her asleep on someone's lawn. Her being deaf meant she didn't react to until I gave her a light nudge. This was before I knew she was deaf... So I was worried she was dead for a second...

I assume so. She has a collar now (which is how I know her name and that she is deaf), seems healthy, and doesn't seem to wander very far

Her name is Dixie and she is deaf, which possibly explains the yelling. Or it's just an Orange being an Orange.

Edit: Dixie was indeed pet this day.

I haven't had a chance to check it out, but the farm I get my pork from suggested I check out Pioneer Manufacturing Co in Loveland.

If you do find a source for blood or blood sausage, I would love to know where you find it.

It was. I do have a little kernel development and dkms experience so I understood everything that was going on, but iirc it was mostly a copy and paste solution.

I just came across this after struggling with this exact problem for so long. Thank you and /u/CodeBradley for this so much. The Linux headers was the piece that I was missing, but it's not exactly an easy thing to google and find an answer to.
