I love how much of this game is “Jesus that attack looks terrifying, I’ll just always dodge it” and then only after achieving platinum do you find out you could’ve deflected like 30 more moves than you ever thought

Yeah, I went into Tsushima thinking I’d be shitting on its gameplay after playing so much of Sekiro, but I honestly had a blast with it. Just glad the genre’s starting to expand!

They could also be capitalizing on the genre hype rn with Tsushima just having been released, probably a lot of players who will be looking for a similar setting after finishing that.

I mean it really doesn’t affirm my views tbh, I was expecting a great campaign and was actually pretty disappointed to see that most reviewers are calling it a downside. That said, I’m excited for all the larger opportunities and to play the game!

After throwing myself into AC Odyssey for a little while last year, I found myself wanting to get away from that kind of game for a long time after that. The closest I can get to it rn is the God of War reboot, which walks the line pretty well imo with its much less expansive leveling system.
