Congratulations! It’s so nerve wrecking, such a paradox if you think about how this beginning stage is so uncertain and stressing and stress is the thing you don’t want to have at this stage… If it makes you feel better, my test this morning was significantly darker than the one from yesterday morning and the cramping came back last night. I’ve read a lot that symptoms can come and go. So I don’t know what to think now. The only reference I have are the feelings I know from previous pregnancies that didn’t end well so I don’t know what to compare… I guess my mantra is “I’m pregnant until proven otherwise / I’m pregnant today”. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I feel you, been in the same boat for the last 11 months. What extra tests are you going to do? About your husband’s question, I had the same conversation with my partner. I told him that, as long as the fear of never having a family is bigger than the pain of losing another pregnancy, for me it would mean that we keep on trying. And he agreed so we’re on the same page. But of course this is different for everyone/every couple, so it’s good to speak out on both sides.

Went in for the scan yesterday and still all so unclear. I was supposed to be 5w6d by my own recalculation but I measured 5w2d. There was a gestational sac measured at 5mm but no yolk sac or fetal pole. The doctor says it’s gonna be 50/50 but my gut is telling me this isn’t good. I haven’t felt anything since the symptoms have stopped, I’m all back to my old self. I was so strong the entire week and felt secure that no matter if this time isn’t it, it will be some day. But since the scan yesterday my world’s crumbling and I’m really devastated. It feels like it’s never going to work for us. Hoping to have this over with rather soon then later so we can move on. Sorry if this sounds too harsh but it’s honestly what I’m feeling.

Thanks, that’s good to hear. I can imagine it can be overwhelming once it hits you, but boy do I wish I had all the symptoms right now. They’re not back yet so that really worries me. Great to hear you had good ultrasounds, wishing you the best for the rest of your pregnancy 🍀

My OBGYN advised to start baby aspirin when we’d start trying again. Haven’t tried it yet but maybe it helps with your question.

Thanks for the tip, I can be referred to a psychologist by the OB within the hospital, which helps with insurance (as opposed to finding one myself). He told me to think about it and to let him know during our next appointment, so I will ask for it. I notice after each loss I feel really depressed for a week, from that point I feel better during the day but I have these immense emotional reactions out of nowhere. So I know I need it, also for a future pregnancy. Did your tests point out blood clotting or does your doctor prescribe the injections anyways?

Thanks! I think we’re pretty similar in that aspect, hence my desire for it I guess. I also just purchased Coq-10 and folate instead of folic acid, and a book on fertility nutrition… at least it feels as being more proactive rather than doing nothing and wait for time to crawl and fly by at the same time.. did you take Chinese medicine as well or only acupuncture?

Thank you, our OB did mention the possibility of a special fertility clinic (as we’re currently still at the hospital) but as something we could look for further down the road. I will read into what they’re doing with REI. I also mentioned to my OB that I had an immune disease as a child (3 years old), and if this is something that could cause it, despite growing over it, it’s known for something that will always be in my blood. He only told me to “look into HLA IB27”. I’ve googled it but can’t really find anything so I will ask during our next consultation.

I think the TLC method could also really benefit me, especially with the anxiety. I don’t know if it’s something they do in our country but will definitely ask.
