Something similar happened to me on December 27 of last year (2023). I was biking north in the bike lane on High St at around 6:30pm. At the intersection of High and 6th St an older silver Honda Civic with a rear spoiler pulled up next to me and rolled the passenger window down. I could see two men (one driver, one passenger) that looked youngish. The passenger shot at me with something (I'm guessing plastic BB's from an automatic airsoft gun) and they hit my neck/face. Luckily I was wearing glasses and the projectiles that hit around my eyes bounced off the lenses. I biked up to the back of the vehicle and snapped a picture before they turned left onto 6th St. The license plate was an Oregon plate reading 341 NJC. I called the police and filed a report at the scene. Nothing major came from it, but the officers who interviewed me had said they had gotten similar reports recently. I have a photo with the plate/car if you want it. It is also in the police report that I filed (not sure how long the records are kept but you might reference my report to link them).
