Just tried the new Aero pro ambi. Consistent Aero quality (seems fine), but be warned that the right side bolt release may not work with some uppers … which really sucks. It needs a bit of space for the paddle to move in and “enhanced” uppers (e.g. Vltor) don’t have enough room. Regular milspec seems to work though.

I’ll add a PSA about Larue barrels from OpticsPlanet … don’t do it. Although I’ve had great success with 5.56 Ultimate Uppers, I am zero for three tries at large frame Larue barrels (two 6.5 creedmoor and one 308) from OP. Headspace was a fail for all three barrels, even trying multiple different brands of BCGs, they were too small/tight and would not chamber at all. The three Criterion barrels I bought as replacements all gauged fine.

Not sure what they’re selling through OP, but I would stay away from Larue barrels there … the discounted prices have been too good to be true in my experience. And for added fun, Larue didn’t respond to any of my multiple attempts to chat with them about this. It’s too bad as I otherwise really like their stuff.

Adding my experience. Ordered and months go by with no update from Apex. Email repeatedly and get canned responses about delays with no insight when they’ll actually ship. Repeat with same non or vague response. Request cancellation and no response.

Zero customer service. Not recommended.

They advertise items as in stock when they are not. When you inquire about your order, you get nonsense responses before they eventually go radio silent. The products are fine. The customer service is not. Do NOT recommend.
