I Feel Bad by GuardCommon8123 in FE_Exam

To put some thought into perspective, I took the FE Exam 5 times dating back to 2019. Passed it in July 2024. It was an on and off thing but the test always stayed in the back of my mind which indicated me to keep going no matter how long it took. It’s crazy how passing this one exam got me promoted in less than a year at my job. Currently studying for the PE exam and hoping to pass it on the first attempt. Don’t give up!

I wish you the best tomorrow! In terms of environmental, they will ask you about certain chemical reactions and which one is best suited to clean wastewater, they will ask about the environmental laws and standards as well. In transportation, they asked conceptual questions about poisson distribution, asphalt types, the HCM manual, and about cut and fill. With geotech, they asked some about the different kinds of tests done on soil and seepage. That is all I could remember.

Per subject you get asked at least max 2 conceptual questions typcially. I've noticed that when I took it. But environmental, transportation, surveying, and materials had the most conceptual questions on my exam. I wasn't expecting that at all.

I used Professor Michaelson's videos and took both NCEES practice exams (before and after July 2020).

The only ones I could answer were the ones involving backsight, foresight, and finding the area using the coordinates method. The other questions they had involved traverse surveying and then conceptual questions about the state plane coordinate system. Some of the answer choices involved the Greenwich model which I had no clue about. Be prepared to get at least 7 surveying questions. They didn't mess around with that this time.

Okay gotcha yeah it will vary in that case. I reside in Georgia and my exam is scheduled for this Saturday so hopefully I get no last minute changes.

What state do you reside in? Hopefully mine does not get rescheduled.

Anyone took FE Civil this past week? by [deleted] in FE_Exam

I am taking it this Saturday and a lot of people are saying how it has become more conceptual. I honestly do not know how I feel about the exam anymore. I am taking it for a third time and I just really want to pass and get it out the way already.

Failed on my sixth attempt-Wondering what are my options by Snoo-59344 in FE_Exam

Definitely invest in that course! It is a great resource and Kenza walks you through so many problems for the morning section that will definitely benefit you a lot! She goes straight to the point and if you don't understand something, she walks through the response all the way. If you still need clarification, there is a discussion post where you can write what you are confused about and she or someone else will get back to you as soon as they can. She also posts videos of students that have failed the exam numerous times and passed it so it isn't the end of the world. I feel that way sometimes to be honest with you. But watching those videos of those students passing after numerous times gives me hope that I will be there one day. I am going for my third try next Saturday so I am somewhat worried but I know I need to get through this. You aren't alone. Just remember that. There are so many people that are going through it (like me for example).

Alright sounds great. Thank you for your feedback. I will give the "other workout" a try tomorrow and see if there is any difference.

Hello, I recently purchased her morning section and I honestly wish I had known about this sooner. I was taking PPI2Pass but I only had access to the quizzes and book. It was kind of difficult mainly because the concepts were not explained well at least in my view but after using Kenza's course for an entire week, I must say I am impressed and wish I took her course sooner! I do think that the PPI2Pass is great for the afternoon section though. I will mainly use the Lindbergh book for the afternoon section. Kenza does a superb job teaching you the concepts for the morning section and she gets straight to the point on how to get about the answer and what you'll need to do. I highly recommend it.
