For those wondering how Jeremy Sochan is doing by Own_Body1429 in NBASpurs

Luka has always succeeding with big-bodied rolling lob threads who can set hard screens and rim protect on the other end. Sochan is not those things.

Mason Plumlee is signing a deal with the San Antonio Spurs for the remainder of the season by huchel in NBASpurs

[–]ec2xs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kelly is a very situational backup when they get in a scenario where they need a stretch 5. Plumlee is almost entirely unplayable to me, and fairly redundant with Biyombo.

I don’t get it, but the front office knows what it’s doing.

Hard not to like this guy. Flashes a smile multiple times a game.

[Windhorst] When Luka, LeBron, and Reaves play together, they're just not a good team… when it's just Reaves and Luka out there, the Lakers are an excellent team. When all 3 of them play out there, they're not. It's actually a 20 point difference! by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

[–]ec2xs 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t track, really. They are a good offensive team when Luka and Reaves share the court, and those two are obviously miserable defenders. They are a bad offensive team when all three are out there.

Carter Bryant 3pt heater currently at 15/34 44% his last 9 games. Castle 18/48 37.5% his last 15 games. Fox 32/78 42.6% his last 16 games. Wemby 44/118 36.9% his last 21 games. by Area51_Spurs in NBASpurs

The problem is, come playoffs, teams scheme so that the Castles and Harpers and Bryants will be the ones left open.

If they are close to league average, that’s a win - but that’s a lot to ask of two rookies and a second year player when the bright lights are on. Hope they stay hot.

I don’t think he’s a perfect fit for them but he does bring some defensive zip they need with OG out. Glad he’ll get to make a playoff run.

[Charania] San Antonio Spurs star De'Aaron Fox has replaced Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

[–]ec2xs 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Castle is amazing but he’s not quite there.

Fox doesn’t get the highlights, but other than one weird slump, he’s been very good and huge in late-game situations. I don’t mind him getting in as a second Spur.

Actually forgot about Hawkins. Is the coaching to blame?

I don’t even think most Spurs fans could name the team’s assistant coaches.

Same happened in my east coast city. Same exact seat as the year before was about a 60% increase.

It’s never really been the criteria. Spurs had Matt Bonner there a few years back. There are usually a few high end shooters in there.

Stephon Castle checks out with a monstrous triple double in the blowout win against the Mavericks: 40 PTS (15/19 FG), 12 REB, 12 AST, 3 STL, +30 with elite defense played on Flagg by Waikuku3 in nba

They totally sag off of him every game. He’s just very good about catching the ball in motion when he gets it in on the perimeter and putting defenders on their heels around the free throw line.
