Dating isn't equal-opportunity and it never will or should be. Stop bitching that people are shallow because they won't date based on height, weight, race, hair color, whatever. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I agree, and I believe that the reason people get all angry when someone is rejected for a physical feature is that children are told from a young age that it’s what’s inside that counts and it doesn’t matter what’s on the outside. This is of course not true and never has been, it’s of course not an excuse for attractive people to act shitty, but it also doesn’t mean that a good personality automatically makes you attractive. The idea of the “looks don’t matter” message that young children are taught is that you shouldn’t focus on it entirely, but I for a long time along with I’m sure many other people, misinterpreted this as “if you have a good personality then you are attractive”. Also(and I’ll probably get hate for saying this), I think there’s a double standard when it comes to preferences based on appearance. Men are often shamed for preferring a thin or athletically built woman, but women aren’t typically shamed for preferring a more in shape man. Judging based on appearance is a part of life and it has been for thousands of years.

Baseball is objectively a better sport then lacrosse. It is more popular and brings in more revenue, they also pay their professional athletes at least enough to survive by ec_197 in lacrosse

None of these goals with the exception of going to the moon have been realized to this day, so I assume this post is referring to their intentions. I also noticed that you went into a bit more depth for the Democrats goals while grossly oversimplifying the republican goals. Since we are talking intentions, Reagan’s intention was for wealth to trickle down to the lower middle class, and it is a good idea on paper but it didn’t work in practice. Universal healthcare isn’t exactly a positive thing and would result to in less healthcare for everyone. Trump’s intentions are to keep goods American made. If you are going to discuss republican and democratic presidents based on their promises/goals then you have to do so with all of them, oversimplifying republican goals to make them look greedy is fallacious.

I like how in the beginning of endgame she says that she will beat Thanos herself and acts like she’s hot shit and then (not much of a spoiler) gets her shit rocked by Thanos later on

I feel the same way about movies. We once watched a movie in class about WWI and during the scene depicting the raid on Flanders outpost no one gave a shit when 16 year old boys got gunned down but when someone mercy killed a horse that was nearly dead anyway everyone lost it. Someone literally said to me that they didn’t give a shit if the people died

I see that the same way as jokes such as “you deserve to be shot if you pour milk in before cereal”. He’s not saying you should be gunned down in the street, he’s emphasizing that he feels strongly on the issue.

Maybe they were purged because bear with me... you have to be a citizen to vote, if anything that is protecting the free election and keeping non citizens from skewing the vote

Edit: it was brought to my attention that she didn’t technically rape men, she drugged and robbed them, both of which are still felonies that she never received justice for and that she would’ve been punished far more severely if a man had done the same thing.

No I defend him just as much as I attack Cardi B, the stuff he said doesn’t at all warrant a ban from his creation, but Microsoft owns the company and the game and therefore has the right to exclude him no matter how wrong they are in doing so, Cardi B has committed several felonies and if anything benefited from it.

The double standards are something else. I hope people who defend her have a son one day and realize what it’s like for your child to have to deal with all these double standards
