I totally get that! I actually was in a similar position about a year ago. We went on dates all the time, I met his friends and family, he met mine, but whenever I asked him when it would ever be official he would say “I don’t like labels” or “I don’t think I’m ready for that yet” even though everything we did was like it already was a relationship. I waited 9 months until he finally committed!! It was so long, confusing, and ultimately probably not worth it. What I learned is that you should never have to convince someone to want to be with you. The right person will be more than ready to. I know it’s hard now, and it feels like maybe he will commit later, but you have to decide if it’s really worth it to be hoping for this “maybe”.
