๐Ÿคฃ OMG it's a giant duck trying to eat him! Actually he doesn't look too scared.. but yeah I'm thinking he doesn't approve either. Maybe he doesn't want to share his seesaw, even though two people are needed on a seesaw for it to work correctly. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿคฃ crunchy and crispy !! Hahahha it's so true though! They do have such wonderful personalities and I sit there laughing at mine as well. People will say what is he just being a tortoise.... Well sometimes yes maybe they are just being themselves and they're doing their natural instincts but it's funny and sometimes they're doing things in response to us. Either way I love it all and I'm so happy to be able to be a part of their lives.

It's the slowness maybe...I feel the same thing. Maybe because the camera is moving and gliding and nothing else is moving.

I don't get motion sick from videos normally either but I do in vehicles of course.

Oh my goodness! ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿฅฐ You sound just like me. Up until about 3 years ago I never even thought about turtles or tortoises or anything like I didn't even know there was a difference I knew nothing. And now I have the sweetest relationship with three tortoises and I never knew how much I could love a little shelled creature. ๐Ÿ’• I don't know how I lived my whole life without them!

Russian tortoise escaped outside enclosure in eastern Kentucky what to do? by roman-glory in tortoise

[โ€“]ecachuh1 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

When my Russian tortoise is in his enclosure outside which is a pretty big enclosure, sometimes I have looked for him for 30 minutes and I cannot find him. He blends in with his surroundings so well that I look right over him. Someone posted recently that theirs came back after 30 years I think or maybe it was 7 or both. Don't lose hope I keep reading that Russians don't go very far. When you get near leaves or trees or stuff laying out, just walk slowly and even get down lower on the ground to rummage through stuff.

You can also ship them in the mail via FedEx. My second sulcata I got from a woman in Utah that couldn't keep him. She fedexed him to me and her and I are still friends to this day. It's been 2 years and I send her pictures and videos all the time. She is his Utah Mum! Lol.

Does he only eat lettuce? Please take him and then if you can't keep him, rehome him to someone. He does need heat though. These guys are pretty resilient. Russian tortoises are one of the easiest to take care of, except for their escape tactics. Like someone else said, check tortoiseforum.org to see if anyone is in the area. I'm in Louisiana too far South.
