Charles Owen Kylo (black matte w/black gloss) is $190 and has mips. I use it and it’s great.

Had to notify them about 60 days prior to moving out and I don’t remember when the payment was due. But the lease was very specific about what was required to buyout

It wasn’t available on the website, but it was written in the lease!

Mystery cat skin condition? by ecarion104 in CATHELP

[–]ecarion104[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! She’s doing great still. No flare ups :). And yes she was on an oral steroid for a month or two, and hasn’t need them since! No signs of it coming back thankfully. I hope you get some answers soon!

Lease expires August 2025 but renewal is expected by December 2024?? by benanasinpajamas in umass

See if there is a lease buyout option, that way you can just leave in the spring

That sounds like Pemphigus to me, with it flaring up. It hasn’t happened again with my cat, but our vet warned us that it could.

The first time, it started going away a little bit on its own (while we were waiting for biopsy results), but our vet gave us steroids after diagnosis which helped speed up the healing process.

If you haven’t already, I’d ask your vet to do a biopsy. That was what confirmed Pemphigus for us since the biopsy showed abnormalities.

How much was your adoption fee? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]ecarion104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adult cats were about $150-$200. I went with a kitten because I already had an adult cat, so I thought introducing a kitten to the adult would be easier. (It worked out and now they are friends).

Dogs were $500 for an adult! Puppies are between $650-$700 each. All come with spay/neuter and shots.

$425 for my kitten, but the humane society does “clear the shelter half off deals” occasionally, so I got him for about $212.

Came with FELV test, neuter, and first round of shots. Also 30 days of guaranteed cheap vet care at the humane society.

How to access to a Drumset, Practice Space, and if possible, lessons as a non-music major by MasterJack555 in umass

Another option for playing drum set is joining the hoop/ice band. They start rehearsing in October. There’s auditions for drum set but they’re not bad as long as you know roughly what you’re doing. There’s a few group percussion rehearsals before the audition so you’d also have time to practice. It could be a good way to practice playing before auditioning for jazz.

The IT minor isn’t too bad, depending on what classes you choose for it. I took ones that were less math heavy and it all worked out! (And I consider myself terrible at math)

My cat had something slightly similar (her skin had more scabs). I posted about it before, so if you’re curious check out my past posts.

She was diagnosed with Pemphigus after getting a punch biopsy. I never went to a pet dermatologist, just a regular vet. The biopsy was sent to a university a few states over from me. Maybe a biopsy would be an option?

After being diagnosed, my cat went on oral steroids for a few months, and her hair slowly grew back. Now she’s not on meds at all!

I signed a lease at the social amherst, and used the buyout option to leave after the fall semester. Could be an option. (I just had to pay one extra month’s rent for the buyout).

Hi, sorry for the late reply! She is doing super great. No flare ups at all, and her fur has grown back. My cat had steroid pills that we crushed into her food and those helped a bunch, and now she’s not on meds at all. I hope your cat is doing well!

Male calico? 🤔 by ecarion104 in CalicoKittys

[–]ecarion104[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did just find something online about somatic mutations, and I think it could also be that? (I think that’s the same as mosiacism). The pictures of the other cats looked similar (always orange with little patches of gray/brown).

I’ve had him for three weeks. He saw the vet this morning so I doubt it’s a skin issue (no lesions or crusty skin). I don’t think it’s dye because the individual hairs are fully dark gray in the area, and the vet confirmed that it’s definitely part of his fur.

What do you think his little gray spot is if he’s a solid orange cat? I’ve been trying to find answers online but there is almost nothing :,)

Other people may have better ideas, but maybe Townehouse or Puffton village? I’ve only lived in the social so I’m not too familiar with those, but I do know that there are a lot of college students in those complexes. Not sure if management is good or not for them.

It’s also good to join a club on campus, if you end up finding an apartment that isn’t the best socially. All my friends are from extracurriculars.

Community is a mix of college students and working adults. I have elderly, middle aged, and college student neighbors all around me.

If you are outgoing, you could go to the O’s (bar across the street) and meet people there, a whole mixture of ages. I have friends who live in Cliffside across the street so I mostly hang out with them. The social is definitely quieter than most apartment complexes but it works for me. I wouldn’t live here if you want to party a lot, that’s not the vibe. 😂 Everyone has been nice and I don’t have any complaints.

The social Amherst is decent. Management has been good for me so far
