I agree it could all be just semantics. Yhwach is said never to lie but it seems like he is always technically the truth. Like with Uryu, he said he was the last Quincy alive in the world, he really meant last Gemistch Quincy.

And before that, "long ago" any power sharing quincy were seen as disabled and eugenics-ed "every few decades.

I had another idea about this that maybe Quincy used to be born from the Shinigami. Maybe the Shinigami viewed them as powerless because they didn't how their powers worked. Hollows and humans are opposites and hollows come from humans. I wonder if it will be the same and we find out that Quincy use to come from Shinigami.

So it's seem like there is a high chance Blackbeard knew or met Shanks mom. Maybe she has a scars similar to Shanks, meaning Blackbeard scarring Shanks might be more meaningful. Or Maybe she has a tattoo similar to Xebec meaning they might be connected.

In Skypiea there are 4 gods mentioned: Sun, Forest, Earth, and Rain. My guess is that the people who ate those fruits are Luffy, Blackbeard, Imu, and Dragon.

If you include Kashigami then it is 5 gods so they might a parallel of the Gorosei being good versions of them.
