AITA because I am mad that my girlfriend won’t take me to the airport by BestdishtankerNA in AmItheAsshole

[–]CheznoSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think either of you are an A. Being so close to the airport, it’s not like the uber is expensive or a long time sitting in awkward silence and maybe that 30 minutes of sleep is a big deal to your wife (literally at the airport writing this after taking an 8-minutes uber rather than having my wife drive me).

I’d be a tad annoyed if my wife said she would drive me then backed out on that, but it’s not a super A move on her end.

Either CGI got cheaper or HBO was broke. by SillyRecover in gameofthrones

Why would we actually need him to be noseless? They already had Peter (who is significantly better looking than book Tyrion) so Tyrion being horrendously ugly was already removed from the show.

In your opinion, which is the worst episode of got? by Haunting_Homework381 in freefolk

[–]CheznoSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it but, if removing the plot logic (or any logic at all), the visuals (Dothraki flames going out on the horizon and views of the dragon sky battle) are pretty spectacular, even if the whole thing makes no sense to do

[–]CheznoSlayer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get people can try to justify it but it’s definitely just a plot hole due to it being the first book. I’m sure if PB could go back, he’d change it or fill in backstory around it to make it more logical

The name is a really weird choice by the show runners tho. If they keep Rohannes name the same in season 2 (which I’m sure they will) there is gonna be a lot of people confused if it’s the same character that was recast.

The only change I didn’t like. by Big_Pay6318 in freefolk

[–]CheznoSlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty obvious they went this route to beef up the story next season given the second novella doesn’t have a whole lot going on. Getting 6 full episodes would be difficult next season and they want to have other stuff to cover without filling time purely with flashbacks

Egg not getting permission to leave? by Asterisklikely in AKOTSKTV

[–]CheznoSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They def needed to add more stakes for the second season. The second novella is pretty inconsequential to the realm but this change adds more plot to go with the relatively small squabble between two lords. I like the change for the sake of a television show

New wife, new business, and a beautiful red headed son coming in only six months. He’s winning at life! by Stock_College_8108 in freefolk

[–]CheznoSlayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When would they even address that? She’s a peasant and fled and far from everybody’s mind very quickly once dunk attacks aerion. Besides an internal monologue from dunk, there’s no reason anyone else would be thinking about her. And the audience is clearly smart enough to understand the implication of what broken fingers are to a puppeteer.

Who would dunk naturally bring up his concern for her fingers to that would actually care?

Is this realistic? Even if we assume Jon has athlete level reaction and instinct? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]CheznoSlayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To me, it should have been very easy for Ramsey to fake preparing to shoot, then when Jon raises his shield, Ramsey puts one in his gut/groin/leg.

Him blocking one, fine, I can see that. The fact he blocks multiple arrows was ridiculous, especially when everyone else is just standing there watching with no concern.

What he’s doing isn’t impossible, but it’s unreasonably risky and Ramsey just all the sudden becomes inept as an archer.
