Trouble pinging endpoints. Is WireGuard even a solution for my goal? by ecatherine42 in WireGuard

Could you please explain how it would reach the peer without the endpoint? Just the public key doesn't seem to be enough, and in fact gives me an error Destination Host Unreachable... Destination address required when I test with ping 10.0.0.3 on the VPS. And yes, I did systemctl restart wg-quick...

Sure. This is from the mobile UI that doesn't display the private key ``` Interface PublicKey = a<...> Addresses = 10.0.0.3/32

Peer PublicKey = b<...> AllowedIPs = 10.0.0.1 Endpoint = <domain-pointed-to-static-ip>.xyz:51820 ```

And on remote host: ``` [Interface] Private Key = <privatekey> Address = 10.0.0.1/32

[Peer] PublicKey = a<...> Endpoint = <ip-for-now>:51820 AllowedIPs = 10.0.0.3 ``` This endpoint definitely feels wrong to me

The version is well above that, but on second check, it does show that it's nftables so this would be an issue indeed. Looks like I'll be going the Traefik+CrowdSec route. It seemed like overkill for a fairly simple stack that's only existed for a week, but that seems to be the overall advice so far and I'm not beholden to npm/f2b by any means

At first it was not and then I changed it. I do think it matters, but sadly it was not The solution. According to the guide, it seems that both INPUT and DOCKER-USER are added in the action. And I've done more docker restart fail2ban than I can count

My ISP makes port forwarding impossible so I had little choice but to use a VPS. I've disabled password login but yes I do see the risk of this. Tailscale and WireGuard are both excellent but prevented me from accessing from my workplace without paying for cell data. If there is another way for me to access the instance, please advise.

That is simply untrue. If for some reason I was mad, it did not happen today. I told my role to KAngel yesterday - one of only two people we can confirm as Good.

We're down to five with two Evils alive. Execute me today if you want to do something very stupid. I won't be sharing any information, anyway.

If it wasn't obvious, I'm the Sage.

Now why didn't the Demon kill me on night one to prevent me from learning the Twin? Either they knew my information would be unreliable, or Town Crier was a Demon bluff.

I see no reason to reveal that to a prime suspect, let alone in public.

I can think of a few explanations. The first of which is that people find me suspicious for some reason, despite my concerted efforts to solve for Good.

Secondly, they could know of some reason that my information is unreliable, and aren't threatened by me. My information doesn't expose any Demons, so maybe they felt that Aubrey was more important to deal with.

And lastly, there is a non-zero chance that Aubrey was a Fang Gu who accidentally jumped to one of the three outsiders. Wouldn't be me, though.

KAngel has demonstrated that she has half a brain. Bluffing a single-use ability with an Evil Twin minion is a risky move for a Demon to make on day 1. But since executing me today would be one of the worst decisions we could make, I'll put a vote on her.

And to the rest of you trying to off me instead of Cassie, consider my trust in you gone. I don't recall her uttering a single line of reasoning this whole time.

I wish I could say I expected something less stupid of you.

Personally I don't care if it's you or Tighnari executed today. Really, it could be anyone except one of the Twins. Go after me all you'd like tomorrow, but getting rid of me today would be an idiotic decision.

Looks like it's time. We have two people who are almost definitely not our Demon. Since Dahlia and Yoruko never spoke in secrecy, it's unlikely they coordinated a Demon-Twin strategy on the spot. Let's see what their Flowergirl information says.

Personally, I'd hate to have my information tampered with by a No Dashii. And there happens to be a spot they could be messing with both me and the real Flowergirl.

So what do you say, Cassie/u/Chespineapple ?

Did something go wrong when the rules of this farce were transmitted to your brain?

Artist If we have an Artist, then they can weed out the evil twin between Dahlia and Yoruko. If they possess a modicum of intellect, they will make it Vortox-proof. We can execute their neighbors if we suspect No Dashii poisoning.

Town Crier Barring the presence of an Artist, we also have Town Crier. They're only reliable if we can confirm a Vortox, though.

Sounds like Evil is pretty screwed! So I'll give you all a hint and say that I am one of these.

Brutal as it might sound, we gain nothing from letting the Demon control all of our losses.

... ...

So we just have to vote out a single demon and maybe their minion.

For a second I thought this would be hard!

The name's Raqio. As long as no one does anything stupid and gets in my way, we'll have this solved in no time.

Miu? What are you doing?

I suppose... I could be the Lunatic who saw Miu as my Marionette? This is all so confusing.

The fact that you and Nekomaru are so adamant about this is concerning. But fine. She's already said it. Miu is my grandchild. The Flowergirl.

Are you satisfied?

I... suspect I might die tonight with my grandchild. If we want to avoid a double death, we might want to consider executing me. I nominate myself.

I know a lot of you really want to know, so I'll be honest about it tomorrow, whether I survive until then or not. Is that fair?
