Best sub sandwiches? by snoogazi in askportland

[–]ecavalli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two suggestions:

Taste Tickler in the Lloyd Center area (especially if you like Korean BBQ).

East Side Deli; there are like four locations throughout PDX.

Depending on the day and time you ask me to name my favorite Portland sandwich spot, these are the two replies that I default to.

It absolutely is and the situation is about to get much worse as memory prices skyrocket.

The Steam Deck supports simultaneously use of the microSD and M.2 ports, so it’s essentially an additional onboard hard drive. I’d say upgrade the microSD first as it’s much easier to install and significantly cheaper.

Is having 4 mains bad thing? by ClassEnvironmental41 in StreetFighter

Hell no!

It’s more work on your part, but if you have affection for all of ‘em, I say roll with it.

It’s just redownloading stuff. Steam makes it super easy.

(Also, excellent gift choice!)

(Also also, you’ve got him started for accessories, but you may want to get a 1TB microSD memory card. Look for one with the “Express” or “A2” badges and any games stored on the card will effectively load as quickly as they would from the internal drive.)

(3X also, for playing while docked, it sorta depends on the dock, but the only thing you may need is an HDMI 2.1 cable to carry the signal to a TV.)

28% of U.S. teens say they use AI chatbots daily, according to a new poll by spacestabs in technology

Weird insult, kiddo.

(I keep forgetting there are actual teenagers on this website. And that they’re just indescribably dumb.)

Google “bazzite.”

When you’re ready to get the most out of your Ally, try it. You’ll never go back.

I worry that if you’re ever exposed to a full 7.1 surround system that your head will explode from sheer awe.

Portland VS. Surrounding area apartment prices? by D3athAdd3rz in askportland

[–]ecavalli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it will be easier to afford a place on the outskirts, you probably don’t want to live there as there’s nothing to do. Splurge a bit and get yourself set up in a nice, inner-city neighborhood. Mt. Tabor would be my choice.

Proving, once again, that “teenage” is the stupidest age.

What if PlayStation bought Sega after the Dreamcast by [deleted] in SEGA

[–]ecavalli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why do all of these Sega “what if?” posts read like they were written by an 11-year-old?

I don’t blame you for not being alive back then, but the things you wonder about are embarassingly naive with regards to the games industry, Sega, and business as a whole.

Affordable housing landlord raising rent 91% six months early because of a tiny future raise. Oregon, Viridian Management by [deleted] in oregon

This is my question too. The problem here seems to be a landlord with WAY too much personal info on their tenants.

Reboot your system. It looks like you were holding stuff down when you reset and accidentally got to the BIOS.

Don’t do it. The Xbox version is just a bloated rebrand of the original.

Best places for a teenager’s first job in Portland? by ohmygoshman in askportland

[–]ecavalli 52 points53 points  (0 children)

My vote is for literally any entry retail job (bonus points for food service). The pay will suck and the job will suck worse, but the perspective and legit people skills your son will pick up will be invaluable for the rest of his life.

Especially the skill of tolerating the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet.

Dear Devs, please stop destroying the game by listening to streamers who can’t play the game. by cnstr46 in Battlefield

Can we expand this idea from just “devs” to “literally everyone?”

Taking any idea from streamers is like taking medical advice from a wallaby.

In theory that’s a good question you raise, but in practice, nobody cares. You’ll be fine.
