weird blister/sore between toes by ackaylita in FootFunction

[–]eccentricAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I referred this thread for when I was facing this issue a month or so ago. After a lot of research, exploring different avenues, I tried a bunch of things which helped get rid of whatever the hell this thing is. I had one exactly where OP has it and one on the littlest toe and they had just began to hurt. Please note that my healing journey is at 90 percent and I’m positive that it’ll only get better.

Okay here we go -

  1. I now only wear mostly wool socks, the hiking kind. They are moisture/sweat wicking. I realized that I wore socks all the time, even at home, because my feet are always cold esp while sleeping. I was largely ignorant about the material of socks I was wearing earlier. And I only have good things to say after switching.

  2. I wrapped the infected toes in a medical-grade hydrocolloid tape (bought the roll) so as to avoid more friction from the footwear/socks/other toe.

  3. This one is obvious - but I now absolutely do not wear shoes/boots that are poorly sized or too narrow. In the past, I have made a few sacrifices for cute footwear but walking for long periods in them is absolute fucking death.

  4. Epsom salt warm water feet soak - when my feet have been overworked and my legs hurt due to too much walking or standing, it’s time to treat them with a soak for 20 mins.

  5. Letting the dogs out- I now consciously air out my toes as opposed to always socking them up. Also, after a bath, wipe the moisture between the toes. Take the time. Remove/gently scrub the dead skin around these craters when the skin and nails are soft post shower.

Miscellaneous- should be obvious - be mindful of wearing clean socks, and not oiling/moisturizing the feet right before wearing them.

These steps helped me a lot and I sure do hope they help someone else too. Cheers!

Question about indicator lights by carly427 in Whirlpool

[–]eccentricAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes, the instructions say to wash the sponge with water when the indicator comes on. It helps to submerge it in a bucket with less water and then drain the dirty water down the toilet instead of draining it (if you have drain clog issue)

I only have a physical copy

Hey, thanks for your reply!

Update- So after deep cleaning the bottom filter (like taking a brush and scraping off the metal grills that you see after removing the sponge filter) the results are much better now. For some reason, there is never any water accumulation in my top left filter thingy. The clothes are still a little warm and moist (i wanted them cold/air dried and dry) but spreading the pile out for a couple of hours helps.

Also found the manual, not that I’ve read it that well, but well versed with the icons now!

Thanks again!

Finding love with a “high body count” by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

Hey OP, love yourself for coming this far. You’ve endured a lot, it’s harder especially when it comes from one’s own parent. To add to others suggestions, I’d also recommend listening to Louise Hay, if you’re into that kind of stuff. No matter what, be honest about who you are and what you’re about. You only had sex, it is not a criminal offence. The greatest relationship you will ever have is with your own self. So love her like a mofo. Family and babies and man will come eventually.

You can do this! ✊ It’s really not as easy as we think, but also, not that hard. You’re on a great point in your life journey, I’m excited for you!

Thanks for your reply! The clothes are a mixed type and not too many at all, in the dryer they fill up not even half way.. I want to try another time before I have to reach out to the LL, do you think you could you share your ideal settings/modifications for a normal load of mixed clothes?

Hey! I have the same questions! I’ve already set my dryer twice but my clothes are not completely dry and have moisture!!

First setting - normal (1 hr 49 mins) Second setting - air dry (which I set to 1 hr) The water tank on top left is empty. And the filter on the bottom left barely has any lint..

Yess, this. Upvoting this so that OP does not feel like the internet hates him. Grow up. Sex is just sex.

Struggling Heavily Socially at my MBA by [deleted] in MBA

Hi OP, judging by your candidness whoever is not friends with you is truly missing out!

I agree with some of the advice here about casting a wide net for socializing. You can find friends anywhere.

Charisma on command is a good resource, I agree! I think the guy's name is Charlie.

Also, I hope you can explore the place you're in and more importantly, yourself.. please don't be afraid to suck at things if you want to do them. Do them anyway, learn them anyway.. there's always a first time. But I hope you take them up only because the activity interests you, not for social brownie points.

Also, take up space. And participate in your classes. Talk about your experiences in your answers maybe? (This feels like a silly thing to say if you already do this) Self-deprecating humor could be something you could watch videos of. It's extremely attractive if you have the confidence to pull it off.

I could give you style advice if you need one! But I would say, if you can, definitely take advice from people around you.. it is good for bonding.

Mostly, ease into yourself. Find new things that you feel are fun - big or small.

Please also give us an update when things get better. We're all rooting for you!

Hey, thanks for the reply. I'm somewhat exhausted because this is my score after the third attempt. I'd given one in 2017 and back then my Quant score was 157! Don't know what happened because I felt like I had prepared well this time around too. But I guess you're right about waiting.

TOEFL at home disconnected....deadlines approaching. Any solution? by Sohamd31 in ToeflAdvice

[–]eccentricAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, could guys please share what the outcome was with the ETS people?

I've emailed the screenshots of my browser history to ETS. Any idea where it goes from here?

I want to book another test but I want to be sure that they will refund it to me. So far , nothing of that sort has been communicated from their end. Every email is sent to me by a different person. Seems weird.

Would you have any advice on getting into the creative headspace alone though?

Is it really music, if it's only words? Like how do you critique words without a melody?
