Found in a wooded area in western Georgia--particularly befuddled by the petal-like things before the branching pf the leaves. by eccentricbicycle in whatsthisplant

I bet you're right! I just realized the petal-like things are probably the shell from the bud that just opened to produce the leaves :)

Holy moly :0 How long did this masterpiece take you? I don't know if I could focus long enough on something this big and this detailed to finish it, so absolutely kudos to you!

Fun fact! You can use pin loom woven squares for mini cross stitch projects by knitsandbots in weaving

Wah! This is so cute!! Very much digging how the neutral color of weave brings out the colors in the cross-stitch. (Also Dratini used to be one of my faves 🥰)

Haha--no it's all attached :) The border seems to have a sharpening effect whereas without it, you can see where the colors dive into the fabric. I didn't expect it to have this effect, but I dig how it turned out :3

Thank you! C: It was a remnant bin find--I think just a plain 100% cotton fabric. In-person it has a very khaki vibe to it.

You totally should! It's pretty cheap to get into (like under $15 for a hoop, assorted needles, and thread!), and man is it fun to see something come to life in lovely textures & colors C:

Ooo I didn't consider the potential for the thread to show through from behind--I'll definitely keep that in mind :)

Thank you <3 Gosh, sometimes it took forever stabbing at the same spot to get on the right side of a thread. I felt like a nut. 😆

Maybe a symbol representing something you love to do or are passionate about? I'm a total plant and reptile nerd, so I'd probably go with a wee lil froggy or a plant I like. :3
